Mums with 3/4 year old boys

How do you stop them from playing with their penis?

Matthew is forever playing with it, I often find him sitting on the lounge with it out for all the world to see flapping it around :rolleyes:, at the dinner table his hands are down there quite often, even out shopping he`s often playing with it, this is when I feel quite embarrassed.

Just not sure what to do, I know it`ll eventually stop (if it ever does with males!!!), I often say something along the lines of "stop playing with your penis, you`ve got lots of toys to play with without having to play with your penis".

Seriously they start so young dont they :lol:
Thankfully DS hasnt started playing with it when we are out, but at home all I ask him is that he goes and does it in the privacy of his own room, as its not something we do in front of ppl, so far it works, every so often he races off shouting back to me, "just going to play with my penis mummy" ROFL.

hahahah!! Welcome to my world! I think its an age thing, the more focus and attention you give it the more they do it, then they think its funny.... argH!

I just explain to them that it's not appropriate to be playing with it when they are in company. They both understand that and I often have to remind them but a quick "hunni hands out your pants" usually brings it back for them ;)

well our little man announces to the world that he has a big penis whenever he gets a little stiffy, and he now talks about his 'skin' because now he sits and pulls it back & forth. *sigh*.

If he does it in company, I pull him aside and tell him that he mustn't show people his penis. When it's just us, I don't make a big deal about it, usually i tell him that he probably needs to go to the toilet.. and it's usually true LOL. I wouldn't say he sits and plays with it that much tho, only usually when he's discovered it's got big again hehehe.
