Does this sound silly?

Ok,,

Hubby loves Ruby.
I also love the name but not sure if Ruby Sayle sounds silly?
What do you think?

No, I don't think it sounds silly. I like Ruby too, and frankly, a name that you and your DH both love is too good to give up because of this. I think Ruby goes beautifully with a 1 syllable surname. GL.

I like it! Ruby is one of my faves but DH doesn't like it... so I'd say go for it, if you both like it!

Oh i'm SO SORRY but i'm going to be so honest here ... i really think it sounds so much like a phrase ' Ruby Sale ' as in a jewellery sale ... and does make me think she will be tease :rolleyes:

I don't know whether you have thought of the initials "R.S" as some people use it as a short version of a swearing phrase.

I think it sounds great, goes very well with Ebony too.

I like the name Ruby, and it does flow well with the last name Sayle.

I agree with the post that it sounds a little like something you'd find at a jewellery store...BUT then again, these days kids will find anything to say about a name if they want to so I wouldn't worry about it.
