Need your help girls
Hi girls, I'm not sure if this is the right spot to post this, but here goes. 4 weeks ago I have a myomectomy op on my uterus (horizontal cut) to remove a large fibroid. The doc told me that the op is 'like' or similar to a c/s. Well, for the first week I was sore, then I progressively got better until about 5 days ago when I started having 'period like' cramps (not very painful but still like period pain) and my lower back was sore. I'm on CD9 in my cycle so I've finished my AF 7 days ago and I'm not due to O until 20/2. I thought the pain might be associated with O time, but it's nowhere near O time. My question is, how long after c/s did it take you to have no discomfort there, and have you had any pain 4 or so weeks after your c/s and did you have continual pain, and if so, for how long?? Did it feel like period cramps???? Even though I'm seeing my doc in 2 weeks time, I'm a little bit worried that I might have done something to the inside stiches ????? I've been very good since my op with lifting anything heavy, but I have stupidly (without thinking) picked my neighbourgh's 18 month old about a week and a half ago (so 2 and a half weeks after the op). Do you think I have torn something inside???? I didn't feel any pain when I did it, or afterwards. Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks.
Beata.

My cs scar was tender for a few months, and I occasionally got twinges around the are for a while as well. If you had done something when you picked up the 18 mth old then I bet you would have felt it straight away. I always did when I over did it. maybe call your dr tomorrow and just check with them if you are worried about it?

Hi Beata hun,
I had my first C-Section with bub number 5 & it took me about 6 month, to really get back on track, my left side was the worst for some reason, the pain was terriable down that side. You may have pulled some muscles or it could be Tendens inside,it would be good for your sainity to have it checked out as soon as you can, just so you know whats happening to your body,as we all heal in different ways. Hope your feeling better, hun,Susan xxxx.;)

Hi girls,
Thanks for your replies. I feel a lot more assured now that perhaps what I'm feeling is 'normal'. I've never had a cut in my uterus before, so I didn't really know what to expect. All the doc said was that it will take 3 months for the uterus to heal, and 6 weeks to go back to normal activities (ie, driving a car, lifting as per normal and normal excercise). I guessed the scar and muscles will be healing for a long time.....and the twinges of pain will be there for a while too.....I think I panicked because I picked up the 18 month old, but I figured that if I ripped any stiches inside I would have known about it there and then, but luckily I didn't feel any pain at all during or after it happened.
Thanks again!!
Baata xxx
