Static in Itti Bitti
I seem to have static in a couple of my Ittit Bittis. Only the peppermint coloured ones.... which I thought was a bit strange! I think it must be static because the points where it is sticking keep changing.
At first I thought somehow it had melted in the heat we have been having down here in Vic, but then I figured the rest of them would be the same too. But that is the thing, why only the peppermint ones?
So, any ideas on what to do to get rid of it, and how to stop it returning?
TIA

Gee I dunno... never had that happen with mine. Are you drying them in the dryer?
I'd email IB and ask them :dunno:

Sometimes, sometimes not.... but why only the peppermint ones?

Uh. Dunno. Maybe its the dye or something thats different? :dunno:

Never had this happen how strange

I'd definitely contact IB. They are great dealing with any problems you have.
-
Yeah I will. I only bought them in January and I figure they would all be the same if it was something I was doing. Will let you know the outcome.

I'm interested in knowing the answer to this one??

Oh, I forgot to report back!! Sorry!
I was getting worried it was something I had done wrong, except the fact that I have all the other nappies that aren't affected even though they had been washed and dried the same amount of times and in exactly the same conditions.
It wasn't static in the end. It was the PUL coming away from the material and then sticking together. That is why it seemed to be static... the material would move but it always seemed to be stuck to another part of the nappy.
I spoke to Sue at IB, and she knew exactly what it was straight away. Apparently she has a batch of them that are having this happen. She has cut them open to see what is going on and it seems to be particularly peppermint that has the issue. She was just so lovely, swapped them over no questions asked. But she did say that I may have the same problem again because she doesn't know which particular ones are from that batch. But if they have the problem again to just send them back to her!
She also told me that she is going to be going over to China to her manufacturer to discuss the issue with them. She has complete faith in their workmanship, but it is the supplier of the material that is letting them down. So hopefully she will manage to get it sorted.
Either way, I'm still a happy and satisfied customer with two brand new peppermint IB and I at least know it wasn't something I had done!
