5th Finger

I forgot to ask at my ob appt as he told me results were normal and that was prety much the end of the conversation but when i was looking at the scans at home it reminded me.

The tech has done pics of both hands, both show the fingers and a seperate picture of the thumb. However on one hand she had typed 5th finger and an arrow. Now when i look at the scan i see 4 fingers and something but i would have assumed this was the thumb except fo r the fact she's done it on one hand but no the other. Anyone else had a similar experience?

I don't really care if there's an extra finger but i have been a bit paraniod cause i wasn't expecting to fall preg and had hair laser removal about the time i o'd.

I was going to wait till my 30wk growth scan and ask him to take a look since he's given me the scans and so can't refer to them unless i take them back in.

Just looked at my scan pics and there's pictures of the hands which say 5TH on them. The TH probably stands for something else?

could it be 5 -- as in 5th digit...and TH for thumb??

Hi, I have just had a little girl (3 weeks old on Thur) and she was born with an extra little bit of a thumb.. was`nt picked up on the scans, probably because it is small... about the size of the tip of her little finger... apparently it is very common and she will have it removed when she is about 6 months old. We just think she is extra special:)
I`m not sure what the 5th on your scan means but I wouldnt worry too much.
