Anybody have a turbo oven?
Just turned the TV on before & left it on an info-mericail (which I normally turn off at the speed of light) because I wanted to see why anybody would want MR T advertising their product.... :lol:
Anyway, I think I was totally sucked in, the ad was for this turbo oven deal'e that cooks with halogen lights, convection & infared, up to 3 times faster than conventional cooking methods & without the soggyness or inconsistant cooking that a micro can give (we have a micro but it's not even in the kitchen & we never, ever use it.).
What I liked about it was that you can chuck everything in, even from frozen, and less than 20 minutes later - ta da! Perfectly cooked (apparently) goodness.
AND, it practically washes itself up....
I know I probably don't need another kitchen gadget (there was a breadmaker fiasco last year.....) but it DID look cool, and handy. The Danoz one was like $200 but there are some similar looking ones on ebay for much less...
...so, does anyone have one? Why? Is it as cool as it looks? What can you cook in it?
