I don't look at it any different to Millie (if you know what i mean) :D
I quite like Tillie
I have a friend her sons name is Billie ... never thought of putting silly with it ... I say go for TILLIE !!
Tillie is so sweet. I had a little girl in my class last year called Matilda and she was called Tillie for short. I loved it!
I love it and I would never have thought of 'silly tillie'. hmmmm might have to put it on my list
What a cute name.
My daughter is Tilly (short for Matilda) and she's never had silly tilly at school and is in year 5. They really don't pick on names at school, other things yes, but I've not heard of anyone being teased about their name! Guess it can happen to anyone though!!
I agree with everyone else, kids don't really tease each other about names these days (I am a teacher) I love Tilly short for Matilda, I think its nice sometimes to have a "proper name" as well as a nickname IYKWIM?
I think its sweet, but I would spell it with one letter 'l' to disassociate it even more with the word silly;
Tily - this also looks more like the name Lily- a well recognised name.
Another name I like is Tali/Talie/Tahlie

Gorgeous name!! :)
I love Tillie/ Tilly...
My hubby would never agree to it though..
Hi Bridee,
You messaged me a few weeks ago in regards to us both having low PAPP-A. Im sorry, I have no idea how to email you directly! Just wondering how things were going with you and bubs? I have just been for my 19 week scan, and would you believe it, i have a single umbilical artery aswell. Just wanted to know how your experiences were going. My ob said it happens to about 1 in 100 people in his experience and nearly all of them aren't affected by the single artery. Hope everything is well and bubs is growing fine.
By the way, I love the name Tillie.
Stella'sMum
i really loved the name matilda to shorten it to tillie...
that was until MIL decided to call her dog tillie!!!!
in saying that i think its beautiful and id definatly go for it!!!
Hi Bridee,
I am a school teacher (kindergarten) and children never seem to pick on each others names. I have a girl called Mia in my class, sometimes the children say 'Mamma Mia' but she likes it and sings along!
I can't believe you have another daughter called Georgie! That is my current favourite. Did she have SUA aswell? Just wondering if it runs in the family?
By the way, when I say I'm Stella's Mum, Stella is my little poodle dog. Im expecting my first child.
How is everything going at the moment? What week are you in now?
I didn't have SUA or low-papp-a with my first but she was on the small side - 2.6kg born at 37wks, so that is actually working in my favour at the moment because I have a history of having a small baby. So when everything is looking ok apart from the size we can always just say well DD was small maybe this one is just small as well rather than saying it definitely is because of the placenta.
My next check up is on Wednesday and I'm 33wks so I really think I will get past the magically 34 wks which was where we wanted to get to early on.
How are you going?
Hi Bridee,
Everything seems to be going well at the moment - my bump is certainly getting bigger so hopefully that means the babys is too. I dont have another appt for 3 weeks so I'll be looking forward to that. Baby is moving quite a bit so I am really enjoying that. I'm feeling really positive at the moment so hopefully that continues. Keep me updated!
Hi Stellasmum - update on appointment today everything is going well. Baby had grown well, heaps of fluid which is a good sign for placental function. I'm now on weekly check ups and after each check up I go for monitoring for half hour just so OB can get a good look at heart beat and over a longer period of time. Monitoring actually went for 1 hour today as baby wasn't moving heaps so they wanted it to move to see what heart rate did while moving, anyway everything was good.
Next week I go for another detailed scan, followed by app with OB, followed by monitoring - oh boy what a day that will be.
NExt week we will also get a delivery date. OB has said come 37wks he wants to deliver so no further risks are taken. He is suggesting by that stage baby could be 2.5kg but given how the growth is at the moment it will certainly need to get a wriggle on. Todays estimate was 1.7kg.
Baby is still breech which I'm starting to be thankful for as it means this bub would have been delivered by c-sect regardless. I think if it turns or had turned to head down I would be disappointment if I had to have c-sect just to play it safe. Because I've already had a c-sect OB won't induce.
Anyway that is an update. Hope you are well.
Hi,
Thats good news! It certainly seems like you are receiving great care. You've still got a few weeks to go right? Thats only 800 grams, Im sure she'll get there - maybe you should eat all day long? Not sure if that will help!
Its always good to see the baby more anyway! Cant believe I still have another 2 weeks til I see the baby on ultrasound!
I'll keep an eye out for updates, looks like all smooth sailing now.
