how many "night nappies" needed for a newborn, plus other newbie questions.
I read that babies need more absorbent nappies for night time use, as they stay on for longer.
Is that true even of very young babies? I assumed that if I'm getting up a few times in the night to feed, I'll also need to change her nappy each time too. Do I need a lot of special "night time" nappies?
How often do you change your baby's nappy at night?
I'm so confused about nappies!
I've gotten (or got on order):
- 15 small prefolds (borrowed from my sister) plus a couple of covers for them. I'm not sure how well these will actually work.
- 6 bumgenius 3.0 "one size fits all" (these seem very easy to work)
- 4 baby beehinds bamboo "one size fits all" (maybe use mostly these at night, since the bamboo is apparently more absorbent)
- 2 baby beehinds minky-magic-alls small size. (these seem very very easy to work, but I don't want a load of them because baby will just outgrow them, meaning more expense)
I am hoping that with this I'll manage, at least until I have figured out whether the bumgenius or the baby beehinds are good (or that neither of them are good), and bought more of those or similar to use as the baby grows out of the prefolds.
Do you think this all makes sense?
