Am I Nuts....
Ok, so my lease is up in August and I really want to move as I feel like we are a bit isolated here, the public transport isnt the best, it takes at least an hour each way whenever we go out somewhere, the yard here is large and costs me $40 a fortnight to get it mowed. But, if we moved closer to the city I could only realistically afford a 2 bedroom unit (in the areas I've looked at).
Am I nuts in thinking that this would work with 2 young children. Currently we are in a 3 bedroom, but the kids share a room so that wouldnt change, but we have plenty of living space which obviously we wont have in a unit.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you :D

I couldn't live with 2 little ones and no backyard. Does the unit have a yard?

I live with ONE toddler in a decent sized 2-bed maisonette with back and front gardens.
It's in no way big enough. A lot of our stuff is in storage. We're trying to move to a 3-4 bed house but the ruddy recession came just as we decided to up sticks and move and DH get a new job! Stupid timings.

Lulu - there wouldnt be a yard, but there would be a few parks nearby.
We generally are out and about during the day so would only be home from dinner thru to brekkie so I dont know if this would make it easier :dunno:

HHmm, Ok, so if you were closer to the city it wouldn't take you as long to get around on public transport - would you be home more often then?
Do they play in the yard much now?

Being closer to the city would mean for us it would be easier to do more things, so Im assuming we would spend more time doing stuff as opposed to wasting half the day travelling. they hardly use the back yard...the ground is infested with bull ants and *shudder* spiders everywhere, every day I have to clean them off the washing line.
