To have a 3d/4d u/s done? using the $900?
I don't see how it would be selfish if you're paying for it - are you worried?
not selfish - but are your reasons curiosity (you just have to see that baby again) or medical concerns????
Not selfish but having had one its not that exciting.
Not selfish. You are putting money back into the economy so I wouldnt feel guilty if that is the money you are talking about.
Not selfish at all, you can spend the money as you like.
I do tend to agree it's not THAT exciting though! Not that it isn't great to see your baby, but i do think that US places take advantage of mums to be and overcharge for a service woman can't say no to. I think you'd be better spending it on a HDD video camera for when bub's arrives! ;)
Having said all that. if that's what you want you go for it. :D
Not selfish, but like mrsmac said not that exciting, I had one at 30 weeks due to a medical issue and all you see is grey/white/black kind of blur and the blue/red for the blood pumping around I couldn't make hide nor hair of what was what because everything by then is getting pretty cosy. But ultimately it's your decision so do whatever you feel happiest doing...Good luck with the rest of pregnancy, not long to go now.....
I have to agree.... I prob wont have one next time (if infact there is a next time!)
I'd use the $900 to make sure I get the pram that I wanted, as we all know, they're expensive & that $900 could get you a pram with all the criteria you're after JMO
BUT its your money, if you want to spend it on the u/s then its not selfish AT ALL. Just keep in mind that you may not get good shots, my DS had his hand & arm up to his face the whole time, even after I went & had some brunch & went back an hour later it was still in the way! :wall:
ETA: I just noticed you're almost 30 weeks, I had mine done at 30 weeks & its VERY cosy in there now so not the best time to get one done (sorry, just wanted to let you know from my experience, would just hate for you to have it done & feel ripped off because you couldn't see much)
I have to disagree with everyone. I LOVED my 3d/4d u/s. I had mine at 36w5d and I could see him with no probs at all. Of course he was born 2 weeks later anyway hehe
