when writing about studies occurring 1962, 64, 67 etc I can say
'research occurring in the 1960s' or 'research occurring in the 60s'
how do you write about studies from 2001, 2003 etc
'research occurring in the 2000s'??
how do you write it, and how do you say it?
what about 2010-2021? 'the teens'? '20-teens'?
Sometimes referred to as the "Noughties" (following on from the 80s, 90s, etc).
If it's a current piece you could refer to "the current decade" or "since 2000" or "this century" :p.
Not sure if ppl are also using "millenium" or "millenial" in this sort of context.
Good question, I think it's one a lot of ppl are having trouble with. There are a few art/history/journo types kicking around on BB so hopefully some of them will have some good answers!

Thanks, i will go with these suggestions and just avoid the whole 'noughties/naughties' thing. the 'naughties' kinda makes me giggle and don't think that would go down too well in a serious presentation.:
