where to get help
i am having a lot of trouble with my toddler and baby. i am so very tired and emotional. i am unable to get any rest and desperately need some help. they are fantastic lovely kids, but my baby has reflux and just does not sleep unless in a baby carrier, and i cannot sleep like that. i have been getting less than 5 hours sleep a night for the past 5 months and just can't go on. i am crying all the time, i cry so much i almost vomit. i am just so tired.... i have no idea where to go for help... can someone give me a suggestion?

Oh sweety, I am so sorry you are feeling like this!
I don't really have any advice other than to say maybe your GP could refer you to somewhere that could help?
Hopefully someone more knoweldgeable will pop in and help you.
Big big hugs to you!

Oh you poor thing . You are doing it really tough. Have you spoken to your MCHN? She might be able to give you some help/advice/resources.
I highly recommend taking your little one to a paediatric chiropracter (or a normal chiro that has experience with babies), they have great success with treating babies with reflux. My DS2 had mild reflux and it went away within 5 days after one session with our chiro (I also followed his advice regarding feeding). I'm sure it doesn't happen that quickly for more severe cases, but they can definitely help you. If you are in Melbourne I am happy to give you our paediatric chiro's details.
Also, baby hammocks are fantastic for babies with reflux, it keeps their heads up higher and the rocking motion is really soothing. My DS1 would only sleep if I held/wore him until we got a baby hammock, it was a life saver for us! We could just bounce him gently off to sleep.
Please do go and speak to your MCHN or your GP, I'm sure there are people out there who can help you .

Just wanted to add my hugs and support too. You are not alone, we care about you!
Another good one is the maternal-child health care line- 13 22 29.
Or I see there is something called the Parent line- 13 22 89.
And PANDA (post natal depression) (they can help with the crying)- 9428 4600.
There are lots of places to help and it is so good you are reaching out.

Hi, I wanted to recommend Tresillian too.
I used the Beyond Blue website to find a dr in my area which specialised in PND and then made an appointment to go and see them about how I was feeling, it really helped.
Sending you my best wishes.
