First home buyers grant?
My mum & I have been talking & we want to buy.
We would like to buy a block of land ideally & put a kit home on it & a granny flat for them.
Thats the only way any of us would be able to afford it.
Problem is that we want to go halves. But mum & dad have owned a place before. So while we are eledgeable for the first home buyer/builders grant, they aren't.
Does that mean we wouldn't be able to get it?
Can someone tell me where I can find more info?

No, EVERYONE must be a first home owner to get it.
Unless they could give you a BIG FAT deposit or something and have it all in your name...but that could get a bit scary maybe?

Well that might be the only way to go I guess.
It is a possibility.
Oh well, more to think about.
Thanks :)

My sister and her partner have just bought a house together but as my sister had bought a house previously she couldnt get it. So the house is in her partners name and all amenities etc also. Apparently the person who recieves the grant needs to live in it for a certain period and cannot rent etc. Here is a link to the State revenue office
