We are having a girl and having trouble with choosing names.
Here is what we like so far: Still not 100% sure though.
Ella
Chloe
Belle
Ella and Chloe have been so popular - what are peoples thoughts on Belle?
We prefer short names. If anyone could suggest some that would be great.
My husband and I cant agree on a name.
I like Belle - prefer Bella though
What about Elle?
Or Cleo?
I dont mind Belle.
My DD's name is 8 letters long and yet strange enough i'm actually a huge fan of short names ... (happened to come across her names years ago & just loved it).
My friend has a Chloe whom is 7 now and there are several Chloe's in her school so don't know if that will be so in a few years to come ... so, i'm going to go with BELLE (though i second Arimeh & i too prefer BELLA) ;)

I too prefer Bella to Belle but DH is not too sure on it. I didnt think he would be so fussy. I expected to be able to suggest a name that i loved and him to say ok. Although he doesn't make any suggestions.:wall:
What are your thoughts on the name Alexis?
Do you think its normal be put off a name due to its popularity at this time?
Well I love Ella ;) our Ella gets Elle most of the time. My first DD gets Tahli which is short i guess. I prefer Belle over Bella :) My friends daughters name is Alex, i prefer that a little over Alexis :)

I have a girlfriend whose DD is named Kyanna and she gets bella as her nick name..I love both.
I LOooooooove Mia as a name....Fingers are crossed for a pink one next time.
I also like Lyla, Eva, Ava, Ruby...It's a bit longer but DH likes Willow...I'm warming to it.
Melly - thanks, i do love the name Ella, DH prefers it to any i have suggested. Iseem to be seeing it alot ( maybe this is because i am aware of it)
Bronzdbebe - Mia is so cute, we cant use this as its already in the family. I too like Lyla, Eva and Ava but DH is fussy (already suggested these). Ruby will be the middle name (after DH grandma) i would love Ruby as a first name but DH prefer as middle.
Willow is a nice name i like Harlow too.
Another thought...
If you wanted a formalish First name and a nickname maybe another option for Alexis could be Alexandra and then you could have Ali or Alex for short?
I also like the name Peyton....Maybe I'm a little addicted to One Tree Hill LOL!!
Charlotte you get Charlie or Lotte, Scarlette is pretty too.
Abigal..Abbey...

Maddison or Madeleine....Madi is cute.
My Dh was hard to get a yes out of too, I've always loved the name Zane and was scared to tell him incase he crushed my fave name...Luckily he loved it and we now have a Zane. Heaven help me if he hated it, DS would probably still be nameless LOL.
I think Alexandra a bit too formal :-)
I like Charlotte but i dont love it enough, Matilda is nice.

Thank you for your thoughts - i like Belle but wonder what people would think of it. DH is ok with it allthough he prefers Ella and i do like it but the fact its so common puts me off. My mum isn't so keen on Ella ( which should not matter)
