Hello
Hello again,
I just need a bit of advice and some hope (or clarification that i'm not going mad)
I'm 38 and miscarried Jan 19th this year- devestating- had my LMP on Feb 23rd and haven't had one since. I have no idea when my March period was due as my cycles have been anywhere from 30-35-42 days???
As my partner is O/s I went over there for 3 weeks and have done 5 (yes 5) hpt since I returned on the 18th March and they were all negative- Could be due to changing time zones etc, but I am praying it may be because the hcg levels are too low.
When I was pg in Jan, I didn't get a BFP until Dec 31 around 22 days after conception... according to my dating scan I had.
So I haven't had a period for 44 days, but apart from being tired, unusually wonderfully calm (happy) and had increased desire to pee and increased cm (sorry if TMI) there are no other symptoms.... like the sore boobs.
I'm scared of getting another BFN- we really want this baby and cannot try again until end of June...and I feel like the time is against us.... yes I had a doctor telling me I was so old to have a baby and my chance of miscarriage was so high due to age....
Anyway, any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your support.;)
I believe that you can ovulate later after a miscarriage so this may make your period come later also. I suggest you go to see a GP, they can do a blood test to see your HCG levels and confirm if you are pregnant or not.
:crossfingers: for you, I hope that the test comes back positive for you.
Thank you so much for your support.
I did go to the doctor today -who was lovely -and explained the situation. They decided to do a blood test to check the hcg levels, so I am hoping to get the results tomorrow afternoon.... at least before Easter.
Fingers crossed it's a BFP
Good luck with your BT results I have my :crossfingers: for you.
What a lovely Easter pressie that would be.
Not sure if you would have got the results back yet from your BT, just wanted to let you know that I still have my fingers crossed for you. I hope everything is ok :D.
Thank you so so much..... your support is very much appreciated. As yet I still don't know the results, I keep looking at the phone for missed calls etc....just wish I knew now.
Just popping in to see how you went.
I hope you have a lovely Easter Day tomorrow.
Still no news on the test front- guess I have to wait until Tuesday now.
It's ok- we'll get there.
For the moment I am stuck in bed fighting off a rotten cold :cold:. My sinuses are killing me, so I am just trying not too think too much.
Have a wonderful Easter yourselves and thanks for checking in- it really does mean a lot to me.
:D
Good luck on Tuesday! I would call them on Tuesday morning if I were you (but then I am impatient...)
Thank you SallyJ,
I called them twice on Thursday ha ha, I'm sure they're expecting my call at 9am on Tuesday.
Fingers and toes are crossed :crossfingers:
I am just taking the attitude of if I am pg that will be miraculous, but if I'm not I hope that they can help get my cycles back on track and more regular or work out what is going on.
Thanks again. :p
I cannot believe they have made you wait all long weekend, thats not good.
I have 48 day cycles, it is very frustrating when TTC, if I don't conceive this month I think I am going to look into regulating them, I have been told of a natural vitamin (I think it is a vitamin) called Vitex that apparently works really well so that is what I will be looking into.
:goodluck: Good Luck for Tuesday.
Hi everyone,
Well I got the call from the docs today to say that my blood test results were negative for hcg..... Of course I'm sad, but I was kind of expecting that because I have no other pg symptoms, but it was still disappointing.
All I want to do now is figure out what my crazy body is doing and work out why AF has not been to visit for 50 days now....
The doctor had mentioned Clomifene??? may be an option if my cycles have not regulated. Has anyone done this or know if this is worthwhile.
Thanks again everyone for your many crossings of fingers and sprinkles of baby dust. Of cousre I will do the same for you all too and you are all in my prayers.
:( I am sorry that the test was negative.
I have not heard of Clomifene but I have not used any should I say intervention/medication before for regulating AF/conception. I suggest that if yu started a new thread asking peoples advise on Clomifene then you may get some much welcomed answers from people who have been there.
Have you considered joining a TTC buddies group also? They offer alot of support.
I wish you the best of luck in getting your BFP soon.
