I said that to DH this morning & he responded with "Is that 'cause you're pregnant or because you're ....." realised what he was saying and stopped short. Now, I eat the same amount of chocolate biscuits as him, and he has a tum, but really!

Good old men, always know the right thing to say!!! How far along are you? I am just over 7 weeks and my pants are starting to get a little tight - more uncomfortable on my tummy cause it makes me feel sick.
Just a little further than you Ubba, I was about 7 weeks when I noticed, only mentioned it to DH today though!
I noticed you had a loss recently too, are you stressing about this one? I am slowly getting used to the idea that there is no reason this pregnancy wont stick.
Oh men, at least he realised what he was saying!!
I hear you, couldn't do my pants up after 5 weeks. I remember coming home from the shops crying because "everyone was looking at my fat tummy"...I'm sure no one noticed really.
My pants don't do up either.
Thank goodness for lycra dress pants from Target. Or I'd probably be naked.
ROFL
Ahhhhhh husbands.. aren't they GREAT?
Seriously - you do not have a belly (well you didn't last time I saw you - when was that? 2 weeks ago?)
I know I already look 6 months gone cos I'm sooooo bloaty this time around... when you come round on wednesday we can pay each other lots of compliments so we both feel GREAT
Arrggh men. Tonight I mentioned to DH that I want a gym membership for Christmas..his response..You'll be getting one way before that!!!! Now what does he mean hey???
MEN!
All my friends and family have been saying that I am carrying differently this time, all belly and boobs. Last time I just got really fat all over  lots of fluid, summer baby etc...
Anyway I pointed this out to DH (what everyone has been saying) and he said I know and I asked him but you just see me as BIG (didnt want to say fat) dont you and he said YES! :o
I said geez just this once, could you not have lied? :crying: Blardy insensitive so and so.
You need to get one of those pregnancy calendars where you can tick not fitting your pants as a milestone of pregnancy.
Lol at DH - men really need to have something short circuited so not everything they think comes out of their mouths :)
Congrats on your pregnancy!
You need a belly band!!! Get one!!! They are made by the angels themselves.
I can still wear my jeans and i'm huge for 23 weeks!!
Their nice and cheap, and it means basically all the pants that you can't do up anymore, you can still wear. And they give your tummy support.
PLUS, you can use them as a bra to sleep in. Very very comfy.
Buy one, you won't regret it. I'm wearing mine now and still congratulating myself on getting one. Lol
Oh so reminds me of my DP when i was pregnant he looked at me with such a loving smile & rubbed my tummy so romantically (if there is such a thing) and went on to say to me ... " You look like an elephant " ... Funny thing is i knew he didn't mean to say it in the 'wrong offending way' as moments after saying it he looked so crushed that he realised what he had said & he couldn't stop apologising.
I used it to my advantage as the very next day i saw a toddler book about a baby elephant & it's Mother ... so yep i bought it & when DP came home from work i gave it to him as a gift & i said to him " Now here's a little book you can read to our child when he/she is born ... and when he/she is older enough to understand that YOU said Mummy looked like an elephant when she was pregnant ;)
My pants do up ... they they are very tight.
I went to a wedding yesterday and ended up aching all over from the effort of holding my stomach in. I could hardly even eat anything! And all the effort was for nothing, really. As we were leaving, MIL grabbed my stomach, gave it a good shake and said "you need to do more exercise".
Ah Snowy dont stress too much, embrace having an excuse for an extended waistline!
I had bub 9 weeks ago, last week DP says "why are you still wearing that belly belt? your not pregnant anymore" "Well because I cant get my pants up yet, thanks"
