14 days into cycle, very light pinkish spotting? What does it mean?

I am a new member, and I am not particularly trying to fall pregnant, but would not be disappointed if I did. I have had one pregnancy which resulted in a miscarriage at about 6 weeks. First pregnancy was unexpected, although not unwanted. Anyway, this is my question. I started last cycle on 19th April (day 1 period), did BD on Sat 25th and Mon 27th (8th day of cycle). I also felt as though I ovulated on this day, which seems unusually early. Husband away all week. Felt severe ovulation pain again on this past thursday (11 days into cycle). (is it possible to ovulate twice in a cycle???) Did BD on morning of Saturday 2nd. Tonight when going to bathroom, when I wiped I have noticed very light pinkish blood on several occasions (it is VERY light) and I have had some uterine cramping all night, a bit different to period cramps. I have NEVER had bleeding mid cycle before. Anyway, my question basically is asking - is it possible to have ovulated twice? AND is it possible that I am having implantation bleeding so early? My cycle is 26-27 days long, so still a long way to go. VERY strange!!!

Well, I havent heard from anyone, but possibly that is due to the fact that people aren't sure! Like me! Today would be CD16??? No more light bleeding today, BB feel a tiny bit tender and I have major cramping! Not at all like period pain though. So weird. It is so early in my cycle that I am totally confused by it all! Still 11-12 days till AF due? I normally get some aching in ovaries during ovulation, but that all happened last week, this cramping is just strange. If ANYONE has any clues or suggestions, that would be awesome. Have not mentioned it to DH yet, as I think it would only worry him (due to unexpected potential pregnancy!)

Bek21w - Welcome to BB, I probably wont be posting much help, but I wanted to say hi.

I cant offer much advice on O - twice in a cycle, I have experienced implantation spotting like you described. I am at work, so cant figure out what may be happening with your bd timing atm.

If you are not pregnant this cycle, I would suggest, if you are not allready, charting to see what your cycle is doing, and when you ovulate, fertility friend has a free website, that can help you know what's going on... which will help immensly

I experienced ovulation bleed like you described (or some sort of bleed midcycle anyway!) after I miscarried my bub. Sometimes after a pregnancy (and mc) your body starts doing different things because I never had it before either!

If it helps you at all, this cycle I O'd on CD12, BD on CD11 and then had little bleeding on CD14 or so. Then by CD18 I had started to bleed lightly again, but it started easing off by CD25 (when AF is usually due CD26) and I got a BFP that day too. I *think* it is possible to O twice, but I'm not 100% sure. Perhaps do a search on BB or google it! :lol:

Hi to you both and thanks for your replies. As I am new to this whole "paying attention to your cycle deal" I just this morning decided to start keeping a record of my temp and anything I see. I have been having continual little niggling cramping, but no more blood. And barely any CM. I did have to go to the toilet a lot yesterday, but think that may have been nerves!!!! BB seem to be getting a bit sorer too, especially on right side, but not sure if that is just part of normal cycle. So will see how I go, very nervous, this wait must be "hell" for some of you, I have only been a bit stressed for a couple of days. To wait two weeks out of every month must really be a patience builder.

If anyone can add anything that could help me, I would still be appreciative. I will post what is happening, so that there is some conclusion to this, whether positive or negative.

I am not really sure but I will guess that you didn't O day 8 but in fact day 11 or even now when your experiencing the pinkish blood staining cervical mucous. You can have some bleeding with O and I think thats pink coloured like what your describing. You can also get lots of Ovary pain before, when and after O so its not a reliable indictator unless used with other methods like BBT, Ovulation predictions tests and cervical mucous. Yes the 2ww are hard. Unfortunately there is no certain way of knowing until you get the :bfp:

I have a little black diary that I write basically everything in that is happening to me "down there". Perhaps you should start one up too? Write down when you have spotting and things like that.

I mostly started mine up because everytime I asked mum things she could never remember, so now I have documentation on what can happen just before you fall PG to show.

Well, just thought I would give bit of an update. Not that there is all that much to say.

I have had the worst week, so anxious waiting. Again, I feel so for you women who have been waiting for months and years (even decades for some!). I have been so impatient I have taken a test every day basically, and ofcourse they have all been negative. For the past four days I have had cramping like pre-menstrual cramps. However, period not due until saturday, so that is really weird. Cramps have upped the ante today, more than ever. Even have felt nauseous today and completely lethargic. LAst night I went to bed thinking I was going to throw up.

I am starting to think this is all in my mind! So strange. I am going to try and not be tempted to test tomorrow and wait for a few mornings and test first thing in morning then. It has consumed my mind so much that I havent been able to focus on work during the day! That is bad.

HI! Well the latest is, my AF was due somewhere between today and sunday and I still have nothing at this stage, but have also tested a million times (well 15 to be exact!!!) and still nothing. I have had the worst cramps I have ever experienced, like waking me up at night, for over a week, but nothing to show for it either way. So I guess the waiting game continues. If cramping continues and still nothing in a week I guess I should see the doctor!!!

Sounds like it was an ovulation bleed to me. You are on CD 26 today? If you don't have AF by Monday I would go for a BT.

Bek, have a look at the chart in my signature and look closely at the signs I recorded - including the spotting at 7 days past O. I had 28 day cycles but it all sounds very familiar to me ;)

PS: I did a test on the Friday before my BFP and it was negative. The following Tuesday morning - PREGNANT!

Well my wait is over and AF arrived yesterday with a vengeance. Worst one I have had in a very long time! Bummer for that.
Anyway, I think that after this whole process I might have convinced my husband that now is the right time to start trying! So maybe I might be able to add myself to the June TTC list!!! (or even end of may TTC). I told him that he needed to let me know before Saturday so I know whether to start taking pill again or not. He told me he will think about it and we will talk again on Saturday! Which is a very big possible in my husbands books! I am 30 this week, so starting to really feel the biological clock ticking. Started taking pregancy vitamins this morning in faith of a positive response!
