Eczema infection? MCN's???

DD2 suffer's from eczema & usually has problems during winter when we are using heaters etc. I'm worried it is getting infected.
It is in her nappy area (she still wears to bed), & I'm wondering if our new use of MCN's could have something to do with it?? I use low irritant, grey water safe powder, but maybe the fleece in the nappy is causing issues??
She suffers over night with a nappy on & wakes crying every time she wee's. I'm taking her to the gp tomorrow, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do to help til then. I have prescription cortisone cream, but the one spot I'm worried about, I doubt it will help.
The rest is looking better. Being nearly 4 I didn't notice it til it had been going on for a good few days. I don't look down there very often & she didn't say anything.
Correct me if I'm wron, but sinc/castor oil creams aren't good for eczema are they?? For the first 2 days I thought it was nappy rash & was putting the wrong cream on. Now I'm worried I made it worse.

I dont know alot about cloth nappies but i know the only thing that helped the twins with really bad eczema was paw paw cream it was amazing it stayed on the whole night even if they weed. This may be a help.

Skye... u can do a strip wash or could be the liners?? maybe try some silk liners???

Also cornflour is good for powder... R u sure its ezcema?? could be fungal???

Pawpaw cream is good... (not the red one) and moogoo (havent used it but am getting some delivered... heard its great) Maybe post in the cloth thread hun

Bamboo and raw silk are anti bacterial. If you have any natural inner nappies use them, if not then try getting some raw silk liners for the ones lined with Microfleece and suede cloth. MooGoo is very good for excema sufferers and other skin issues and safe for MCN. The pawpaws that are safe for MCN can be hard to find. They come in a black tub or a yellow tube

Its definetely eczema. Her skin is dried right out, inflamed & brown on the worse bits. The part I'm worried about lookes like there was a blister & it popped. A circle that looks like the top layer if skin has been rubbed off iykwim.

Be prepared with the Dr, they might be anti cloth :rolleyes: considering the sposies are made by pharmaceutical companies chances are he will tell you to put her in them for a while. I told my old Dr once to touch the top of a booster and then bottom to prove to her that it was stay dry.

My gp is pretty good. He's all for what ever I want. As long as I can get in to see him.

Well we couldn't get into my gp. He wasn't there today, so I took her to one near mum's work. Poor baby does have an infection. So we have antibiotics, canestin incase the ABs give her thrush & instructions for a sitz bath twice a day. We don't have a bath tub, so we'll have to be inventive, lol.

a decent size bucket or a rolling organiser or even the laundry trough are there for these situations hun :hug:

Yeah, I have a couple of the under bed storage roller boxes.
I feel so bad though. I don't even know how long it was there for before I saw it. I normally put on her nappy standing up, so I never really see that area. Then when it started I thought it was nappy rash, so I was using a barrier cream, which probably made it worse. It was 2 days before I remembered hearing that barrier cream can feed it! :doh:

I hate eczema- since getting DD her amber necklace her eczema behind her head (base of hair) is almost non existant... I have odered one for myself cos there supposed to be good for that and psorisis also
