Our baby girl is getting chafed in the area where her leg meets her vulva, in that crease there. The skin is broken and it looks sore! (And that's a sensitive spot to be sore in.)
It seems impossible to keep that area totally dry. It gets damp from her sweat if nothing else, I guess. We are going through about 15 nappies a day, changing her any time we think she's wet. I don't think we're slacking there.
We've been keeping it as dry and clean as we can, without actually rubbing it, and putting a little Sudocrem (we had a sample of that from the bounty bag) on it with each nappy change to keep the urine etc out.
Is this the right course of action to take, or should we be doing something different? It's been 3 or 4 days now, I think, and it doesn't seem to me to be healing. We'll ask the nurse about it on Tuesday, but any advice now would be welcome. I'd hate for her to get an infection or thrush or something there.
