Should I take her to the dentist?

DD1's 2 front teeth have been moving forwards for a few weeks. I thought it may've just been her top jaw getting bigger or something to make room for her adult teeth when they came through.
One has been a bit loose for about 4 or 5 weeks, the other slightly, but not much. I didn't think much of it, figured they'd have fallen out by now.
Last night she told me they hurt & to have a look. Her adult teeth are actually growing in behind her baby teeth. They are pushing the baby teeth forwards, & they aren't getting any looser, or coming out. The adult teeth have come through the gum.
I'm not sure if I should let it go on its own or take her to the dentist & have them pulled out.

The same thing happened to my son. The dentist said the baby teeth would fall out as the new ones grew. I was so worried, he looked like a shark lol! It was just horrible but they did eventually fall out just like the dentist said. If you're woried and it's causing her pain take her to the dentist for sure.

mmmm id take her for a check up but id be reluctant to have them removed, you dont want her to have a bad experience at the dentist that could scare her for life by having some baby teeth removed, they will come out on there own

I'm going to get her looked at JIC. It is starting to hurt, she's having trouble eating & her baby teeth are going brown.

I've heard that teeth go brown when they are "bruised" The pushing around must be quite painful for her, poor love. I'd get her to the dentist as well. Hopefully they'll full out on their own shortly though.

I'd get her to wiggle them around as much as she can without hurting herself. Yes, they will come out.
I had an adult molar grow up behind a baby one and I ended up getting it out because sometimes when I chewed on that tooth it'd really hurt at certain angles. The extraction didn't hurt me at all and it was quite a relief. You can't go wrong with a visit to the dentist either way. :)

Yep same this happened to my sister. I remember it well becuase she thought she looked like a shark.

Dentist will prob do one of 2 things:

- if the baby teeth look fine he might just wait for them to fall out, or
- give them a bit of a wobble so they come out.

With my sis the dentist just said to wait until they fall out. When they were ready, they did.

Well we are booked in for the dentist. They still aren't budging & the adult teeth are getting bigger. They have to come out. They hardly look like teeth anymore.

it cant hurt to get hem checked out!

i had a 'baby tooth' still, up untill i was about 21, with the adult tooth growing above it. it was like it just stopped pushing the baby tooth, it wasnt wobbly or anything. one day it just got lose, fell out, and the adult tooth came all the way through! i always thought it was so odd!
