Winter activities
I am on the look-out for some ideas for inside play. It is not even winter yet and the weather has banished us inside most of the time.
I always envisioned doing things like music/dancing/art but DS has absolutely no interest in any of those. Any ideas would be appreciated, as there is only so much 'mum play train set' that mum can take!

Posting to subscribe- having the same problem. Short attention span and a little too young for play dough, coloring, painting (it all just goes in his mouth anyway).
I have found a baby obstacle course- cushions and pillows they can crawl over, chair legs to crawl through etc is good but only so often we can do that before it gets boring! We also play 'parachute' type games (you know, how you did in primary school?) with a sheet and some light balls....

DUPLO...!!!
Indoor cubby (made from blankets/pillows/chairs/tables etc)
Paper trails (torn up squares of paper to make tracks around inside the house)
chalk board/white board drawing
Set up a 'home corner' with some saucepans (u could make a stove out of box or something), small cleaning items, dollies and beds, etc
Water play/bubbles in a tub in the kitchen. They can also fill cups/containers etc in a tub of rice
skittles in the hallway (get a set that uses a SOFT ball - or you can use empty softdrink bottles :))
Soft balls/cylinders for rolling
Get some small ride-on toys (eg wheely bug) that are 'inside only' toys
Dress ups!!! Op shops are a great source of bits and pieces like scarves and hats that have endless dress up potential
Box of musical/noisy toys (ie tone bells, whistles, tambourine, small drum). Only bring this out when you are feeling strong enough to cope LOL!

Aha! I have a massive box of it in the garage that was handed down by a friend. Put it away till ds was old enough and had forgotten about it... Thanks Marydean :)

im a little stuck for ideas as well...
there are only so many times a day i can read the smae books, and do the same puzzles!!
i have found a good one is filling a kitchen sick with water and bubbles and throwing in something for them to 'wash' (dd has a little chair which pretty much lives in the kitchen, so she can see whats going on) i get her to wash the little dolls from her plastic doll house, her plastic kitchen bits n pieces, or even her plastic cups etc.. this keeps her occupied for a while!
we do painting, and pastings... i have learnt to prepare the pasting activity the night before- otherwise she isnt interested in gluing the things i hve cut up for her (coloured paper in diiferent shapes and letters) she would prefer to 'help' me cut with her plastic scissors.. and we dont actually get any artworks done!
