Looking for prayers for my sister's newborn

My sister's baby Zac was born yesterday by emergency c/s weighing 2.5 kilos at 37w. He was born "blue", that is, without a heartbeat or breathing. It took about 15 mins to establish a heartbeat and breathing.

He is breathing on his own, but has been transferred to NICU for testing to see what (if any) effect his traumatic and dramatic birth will have on him in the long term.

I ask for prayers for my sister, her DH and our family as we come to terms with Zac's birth. And for Zac, that his birth trauma will not have any long term effects on him.

Thank you. (oh and please nothing on FB either - most of the rest of our family don't know yet).

Sending loads of strength to little Zac and your sister and family. Your sister and her Dh must have been scared out of their minds waiting for him to breathe.

I hope Zac comes through this unscathed and your sister has lots of support as she deals with this.

Thank you all so very very much. Very fortunately for Zac, he hasn't had any seizures, and has now been transferred back to his Mummy's hospital so that they are back together. They are not doing any tests as yet.

The only thing that will tell if there are any issues, is time. I'm sure Zac has benefitted from all your prayers. I thank you all very much and will keep you updated.

Oh Div, lots of love and positive vibes for little Zac and his mama and daddy... what a frightening time for you all. I pray that he has suffered no long-term effects from his rough start to life, and that he recovers quickly. Big hugs to all. xx

Ohhh how scary for all of you. Glad to hear he is back with mummy now, praying and hoping he has no lasting issues from his bumpy start at life.
