How faint is too faint? HELP FAST PLEASE READ

OK...i'm shaking - can hardly type ...how faint is too faint? I have jsut POAS and looked and saw nothing (as per the last thousand over the last 10 months) then I liiked agian and thought I saw something - got out close to light and thought ...maybe...and now there is def a REALLY faint line - but def a pinky/purple line. I am CD 28...could I be UTD ...I am crying as I type....please advise....:pray:

lay down with you feet in the air darlin, until you feel less faint, and then come back and maybe try another POAS it's more important that you don't faint right now. Have a glass of water and raise your feet up while lying down ok

both times i have POAS and got 2 lines it has been very very faint, and both times have resulted in a pregnancy.

A line is a line! If it came up within the time frame I'd say its a BFP! Do another in a few days and it should be darker :)

I would just like to say, that the same thing happened to me this week. To the extent I took THREE tests before finally building up the courage to see the doctor (i work with him, and I was quite nervous) Got my results today! BFP!! I

So keep those fingers crossed hunny, this could be it! =)

Omigawd, settle hun - you certainly have the right username!!!

Go to the shops and get more pee sticks. Get a couple of boxes of 3. My record is 9!

Do another in the morning so it might be a bit stronger. When that one comes up do a few more for fun. Hell you can even get silly and put one in each room then run around like a mad thing looking at them all :dance:.

A line is a line and if you have seen enough negs in the past, its almost too much to handle :dance:.

Sounds pretty good to me - hope it sticks for you!!!

I'm going to say the opposite though...try to keep calm and try not to get your hopes up too high until you get a stronger result, which by the sounds of it will come if you got a faint line pretty quickly.

I'd say if you tested again tomorrow or the day after, you should get a stronger result.

I don't mean to rain on your parade at all, but just had the same thing happen to me this week. I am up to the same cycle number as you and just POAS from Thursday last week until 2 days ago (went 5 days overdue with AF too) and got the faintest of faintest lines ever on like 5 tests...kept testing for a darker line each day but never got one. Got my AF 2 days ago :doh:

Sounds like a BFP to me! Definitely test again in the morning with FMU, you may get a stronger line. I got a faint line at the GP in Feb of last year and went on to have my beautiful DS2!

OK...now am stressing it was an evap line. Used a Pregnosis Clear in stream early pg test. not sure how close to 10 mins I saw the line? The line is PINK and I can see it from an arms length? Stressing now...even DH was excited. I have used this brand before and never had ANY line? Are evap lines only grey/shadowy? I will test agin with FMU but having some back ache and tummy cramps now? AHHHHH so emotional. Please let me be UTD:pray:

Like Lulu2 said, you've probably seen enough BFN's in the past to know that you're now seeing a line. Off to bed for you, at least if you're asleep you can't stress about it and when you wake up it will be time to POAS again!

POAS @ 5am all BFN? But wee much paler than when I got the BFP yesterday (I hadn't been the the toilet ALL DAY? Going slowly mad. If AF doesn't show up by Monday I'll go the the docs - AF offcially due today and have some mild cramping and backache - so prob a false positive - I think the line came up too late:crying: I have NEVER had ANY line before tho?!?

On the other hand - feeling unwell - lump in back of throat, dry mouth plus my episodes of low BP earlier in the week?!? Also - this will sound weird - my nipples are "looser" - more space "behind" them and peaks of BBs feel "lumpy" - i know my BBs well as they get close examination for two weeks every month! But maybe just wishful thinking?

FWIW, I always get faint lines (maybe that's because I test so darn early LOL). They do get progressively darker as time goes on. I would suggest doing two different brands of test each day, and see how you go! You might not need to go to the Dr after all :D

Wwll more than an hour after I POAS I looked at them again (I know - bad idea) and 3 out of 4 (yes 4 - i'm obsessed) had a REALLY faint line - heaps fainter than yesterday - but my wee was paler too. What are the odds of 3 evap lines on 3 diff brands? Who knows, just more to torture myself with...being an obsessive control freak can be REALLY annoying sometimes. Control Freak - :pray: that the lines get stronger. Have been following your journey for a little while now. :bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust: I don't think 3 evap lines for 3 different brands would be very likely at all - actually I've never seen an evap line and I'd hate to think how many hpt's I've taken over the years.

The same thing has happened to me today CF! Very very faint line on Clear Blue brand. I have had a false positive with them before , but if you've had lots of negatives previously , you get pretty good at spotting a difference! :crossfingers: for you (and me ;) ) hun. Loads of babydust and sticky vibes. Test again tomorrow morning. Like AJC has said, I doubt that 3 different brands will have evap lines. Can't wait to hear your news tomorrow. Goodluck.

I PIAC at 8 DPO and got the faintest line - you could only see it if i held it up to the sunlight. I left it 2 days and got a stronger BFP.....good luck with it all !!!

My own BFP was hardly visible for weeks and weeks and eventually got very strong - so I'd say it's a positive for you.

I havn't managed to get another BFP...so I am declaring myself NOT UTD. There is more evidence against and I need to stay calm and rational.

I have my usual AF type pains plus a back ache...so am planning for the worst ...well AF anyway.

The evidence for Pg? Tired, dizzy, sick feeling in back of throat, dry mouth (awful all day), burping (WTF?) Also haven't manged another dark urine specimen -all fairly pale.???

But the lack of another BFP say NO...I am going to respect the 6 (4 + 2) POAS that said I have not succeeded ...but will live to fight another day....my baby is out there!!!:pray:

When is AF due? I got AF type pains when I just found out I was pg both times, I was sure she would arrive at any moment! When I got a backache with DS2 it was a dead give-away to me that I was pg. Don't give up hope yet!

I also got strong AF cramps/feeling right before I got my last BFP. I only did a HPT because I had a strange urge to & got a pleasant surprise.
So I wouldnt give up just yet.....

If you go to your GP and explain that you're going crazy with anticipation you may be able to have a blood test, which will be able to tell you for sure whether you're pregnant or not immediately. I had a false negative when I tested a few days after my period was due so even if a home test doesn't immediately show up anything, that doesn't necessarily mean you're not pregnant. Good luck!

Thanks neenie. i am going to wait till Monday - all part of my "taking control" I am going to try and "chill" for the weekend - prob won't work but my intentions are good. If not AF by Mon...then off to docs. I will do a (prob 2 diff types) hpt with fmu sat/sun...but those are the limits i have set! I'll keep you posted!

Well the POAS saga continues... I collected some fm wee in a cup (just to see if it would be a good dark sample) and decided to dip a Clearblue digital...in less than a minute it said....drumroll please...PREGNANT! I don't know if these can have false positives? But it was in the time and no room for interpretation! I am claiming a :bfp:!

Also very pale + with a crystal clear and confirm!!! I guess this it it!!!!

UPDATE: Went to the docs at 8am and the results weren't in! The doc tried to call after 9am...no answer. He sent me home and said he would call at 10.30...no call. I called the Med Centre at 12.30...results still not in...was asked to call back about 5pm!

I am completely demented...this is almost worse than AF arriving ...which BTW i'm worried about as I still have this vague crampy feeling, which started yesterday. I am trying to muster some wee to POAS...but duirng the day might cause more agony than reassurance...

Well I just PO another stck (DH rolled his eyes) used a Clearblue digital again and by the time I wiped and stood up it said PREGNANT! I think the chances of two false positives would be low and this seems to point to more rather than less hormone in my body. I feel so much calmer and alot less anxious about waiting for the call from the doctor! I FEEL OFFICIALLY PREGNANT:cheer::cheer:

I would definitely be taking that as a positve! Congratulations! :) Try not to stress about the AF type feelings, it's completely normal. When I got my BFP I didn't test until I was 7 days late for AF because I felt like she was on her way the whole time.

I would just like to wish you a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS. Did you get your bt results back yet?
