Ipswich, QLD mothers groups?

Are there any good mothers groups out there? I have looked on the playgroup website but I'm not sure where to start. I'm a stay at home mum and I have 3 kids under 4yrs and we all need a day out a week to socialise! :D

There is a group of us lovely girls here who have formed our own Mothers Group, we are trying to catch up every fortnight...im sure they wouldn't mind an extra Mummy and three gorgeous kids.Come and check out the Mount Ommaney Mums thread.

I am in the little Mothers Group with Westy (and we are happy to have someone join us), but I also go to a playgroup one morning a week.

If you go to the playgroup qld site, then go to "find a playgroup", and put in the postcode, it will come up with a list of nearby playgroups. The search i just did came up with 20 groups. And then give the a call!

I am in the same mothers group as Westy and Ali!! :) We'd love you to join us - there's about 6 of us Mum's so far, and our children are similar ages so they have a great time playing while we get to catch up too. Good thing is there is no playgroup fees etc like some of the playgroups charge! :)
Let us know if you'd like to join us for the next meet up as we'd love to have you and your kids come along.

When and where i am happy with anything as long as it gets us out of these four walls :doh:

Becky - i'm sure it does have it's moments - i only have 2 children and i have those moments quite often!!!

Ok well if your keen to meet up we will organise something next week if that suits you. I'm open for suggestions so if you have anywhere you like to go then please let us all know and we can meet there.

That sounds like a good idea for me, I like taking the kids there. They need to get out more (getting bored doing the same old things every day, hard to get out when you have 3 under 4yrs), and so do I!

I'd love to come along on Tuesday also... although both my boys are in daycare on Tuesday. I will have to confirm Monday though as my boys are both sick at the moment.

If I can't make it on Tuesday, I will be at Leah's on Wednesday if you can both make it along to her tupperware party I'll see you then!

HI cant wait till tommorrow and Wednesday whoo finaly out of the house and meeting people have lived down here now for 5mths and havent meet anybody and thats all about to change tommorrow.:loveshower:
Brighstars is where you children can go and work on performing arts skills, use there imagination and creativity as well as give them confindence and help there self esteem with different programs such as modeling, acting singing and dance. Took the girls and son yesterday and they all loved it, Yesterday was just a free trial day at to find out more info about it.:bluecheer:

Hi Ladies,

I was all set to come this morning.. dropped the kids off at school, and thought as I had an hour to spare I'd get my gestational diabetes blood test done while I don't have all the children. I had to wait an hour after drinking that drink to get the bloods taken (I thought it was only about 30 mins last time?) and then had to run back to daycare to give Luke a dummy (I'd forgotten to leave one - when I got there he was already fast asleep without it). So my whole morning kinda went out the window!! I wouldn't have gotten there until 11:15 ish and didn't know if anyone would still be there.

Jess - I hope Liam's ok and you have managed to get some rest today. My boys suffer from constant ear infections so I know how difficult it can be for the poor little cherubs! (And parents :)) I hope you can make it along to Leah's tomorrow. I'd love to meet you and your children!

Mel, i hope your test went well. What a morning...turned out to be a very expensive morning for me GRRR. I was driving along Forets Lake Blvd coming down towards the last roundabout before the shops and a police officer jumped out into the middle of the road right into front of my car and got me to pull over - the ba$tard was hiding in the bushes. I got done doing 74k's in a 60 zone, $200 and 3 points later. I was shocked as i honestly had no idea i was travelling at that speed ...oh well ***** happens and i've learnt my lesson.

Bec...it was lovely to met you and little Shaekayla (she is soooo cute). Look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 10am.

But it sounds like otherwise the day was good.

Liam had his birthday party on Sunday and we found out he just had some water in his ear from swimming in our inlaws pool, he's fine now. We're all still very tired though, all 4 of us had a nap this afternoon!

I should be able to make it to the Tupperware party tomorrow! Will be good to see you all.
