Well for me, it's what's not said that is usually the worry - you know, that total quiet that can only mean trouble. But also:
1. I'm burning down the house mum (while I was on a teleconference when working from home). The good news - he wasn't really, he was playing with the hose and pretending there was a fire he was putting out. The bad news - there were managers from all over Qld on the teleconference and they all heard!
2. Mum, I shouldn't do that, should I?
oh look at the big big big mess mummy
and "im painting" - i never want to hear that ... again !! he was painting with mascara !!!!!!
and obviously the swear words ...
It wasn't me!
"We are playing in the snow mummy!", said with much glee after the three of them have just broken a styrofoam box (that I thought I had put away where they couldn't get it) into tiny little pieces and thrown around the room.
'I'm sprinkling sugar Mum' as DD1 twirled passed me - infact showering her room with talcum powder.....
also
'Uh oh.....'
"we made you breaky mum"... my 2 eldest when 2&3 had made breaky on the kitchen floor.... eggs, milo, milk, bread, sauce, everything, was all over the floor........
Oooh (insert DD's name here) ... what have you done now?
and
We don't want to wet our pants do we (usually said once the pants are wet!!!)
"Well it was getting in my eyes" was the reply from Miss Five the other day when she cut her hair AGAIN!! It had only just grown back to a reasonable length from the last time she did it  not to mention she is a flowergirl in a few months....
My heart dropped when I heard Chase walk into the bedroom and say
Oh no oh no oh no crap oh crap Jaidan WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?????!
He had only pulled the train set apart but OMG talk about freak out!
I made my own cordial.....as half the bottle is in the cup and the rest is on the floor
Mum, this cream is making my ankles stick....she'd painted her entire legs (and my carpet) with nail polish
Mum Nate wanted to get off the lounge.....
LMAO!!!! Classic. Silence is louder than words for me... you just get that chill down your spine...
hehe that is true. I had that the other day, sitting here blogging then thought, hmmm the boys have been quiet for a while...
Turns out all was well and they were playing so nicely with the lego in the bedroom, all 3 of them lol Had to take some photos and blog that too!
"Careful" - usually chiding himself just before he throws himself off the bed/sofa/table/whatever else he's climbed on now.
Sorry to be a downer here but i never want to hear my baby boy yelling "i hate you" at me.
I yelled it at my mum a few times while i was an angsty teenager and nowdays i can't forgive myself.
and the moment my least favourite childs saying is "Broken".
Harry says it often and it has unfortunately meant a lot of things. Such as:
oops I broke the skirting board off the wall.
Mum, the car is broken - fix it, and I don't want to hear its impossible.
I've knocked you laptop off the dresser again and the power cable has come loose so the screen went darker and I want my movie bright.... and on the dresser.
I dunno Sophie - I'd take it that I was being strict enough! We never yelled it at my Mum but I wouldn't say that was a good thing the way we thought of her.
when you hear two or three of them going "shhhhhh auntie punks is coming", then you know they've done somthing major
