I'd really like to start eating earlier so we can start teaching DD table manners, but not sure...
currently both DD's go to bed at 6.30/6.45 so DD1 has dinner at 5.30 to accomadate this, though when possible and on the weekends we eat dinner earlier with her for that exact reasons and to enjoy the dinner conversations! she also eats better if we eat with her
If it just me and DH and DD, we normally eat around 5ish..
SOmetimes this means giving DD a snack to tide her over, but I try to eat with her most nights.
If we have visitors, are out, or going out, DD will still eat at this time and then have bits of ours later on..
Our time changes every night, more to accomodate DH who often works away etc.
If DH is home early enough & it's something I've already made or easily made we will all sit & eat....though DS often just plays around at the table.
If I can see that DS is not going to last til I've cooked it & it's a little more involved then I get it all ready, feed him etc then cook when he's gone to bed.
My DS is in bed by 6.45 - 7pm most nights, therefore he's always eating earlier. I myself don't like to eat this early & since DS most times doesn't eat what we are I don't push it. We basically eat when we can, be that all together or after DS is in bed. I'm not fighting with it atm as DH is often away, so I like to make it stress free. If DH isn't home I try to eat with DS most nights.
We usually have dinner at 5.30pm. DD has her milk at 7pm then she will usually go to bed when her milk finishes at 8pm.
we all eat around 630pm together
6ish. I try to push out ds until then, but don't always get there (he won't eat what we eat anyway). Even if ds has already had his dinner, I sit him in his high chair again for five minutes or so with us when we eat, and encourage him to try some (not likely Mummy.... ;))
We normally eat around 6ish.
We eat around 6ish every night - I like to time dinner being ready with DH coming home from work, and we all eat together.
Dinner at six here, unless there's a domestic catastrophe, then it could be a little later. We all eat together, if the Man is out/late/etc we eat without him.
Second sitting (for me) is anywhere from 6.30pm to 10pm, midnight snacks after that.
We generally all eat together at around 5.30ish.. if the girls are tired we eat earlier, or if I am working DH eats with the girls around 5.30 and I eat when I get home.
on the rare occasion we don't eat together, we sit down while the girls are eating and eat ours much later.
6-6:30
Closer to 6 if at all possible
Between 6-6:30 here. I would love to have an earlier dinner time but realistically it isn't gonna happen anytime soon with Dh's work hrs and the things the older kids do outside of school time.
We eat around 6ish. If we have friends coming over for dinner and they don't have kids, we'll sometimes sit down with the kids at 5.30pm while they eat, do the bath and bedtime thing and then eat with the friends around 7.30pm...
Around 5:30 for us. On the rare occasion it is sometimes more 6pm.
We all eat together around 6.30, unless DH gets caught up at work and then he eats by himself later.
My boys don't go to bed till 7.30/8.00. I have always kept them up a little later so they get to see at least a little bit of their dad each day. This means they can eat a little later than a lot of kids do from the sounds of this thread. It also means that I can last until bedtime without eating again, if I eat much earlier then I end up having 2 dinners.
I always try to have dinner ready at least by 6:30..... although its usually 6pm every night.
i usually start dinner at about 5.45-6pm.
some nights we can eat, and ill have everything cleaned up by 7pm... some nigths we dont eat till 7.. just depends whats going on really!
