my sister just named her baby boy hunter his 5 weeks old now, he really suits the name it is defiantely a strong name. After he was born he was re hospitalised for a week, he endured a lumber puncture, blood tests, heel *****s and he came out stronger then ever and hasnt looked back since. :D
Its a great name!
It was one of the boys names we had if DD wasn't a girl :) Our last name, is a very common boys name, so we really struggled.
A GF of mine has a 1YO named Hunter :D i like it!
I like it. I used to care for a little boy called Hunter, he was 2 at the time and very a strong minded little boy, very energetic too :D.
Yeah, i like it ...i think it's a very strong name!
Love it, but it's off our list :( because DH thinks it's too American (???)
Love it. My first crush in primary school was Hunter. He was always my victim when we played 'kiss chasey'!!!
Very common if you are wanting common.
My best gf named her son Hunter. He's absolutely adorable, very much a boy's boy but oh so sweet. So I'm biased, because I love him! Plus, he's going to be my son-in-law one day. ;)
You don't come across many Hunters either, so not too common.
Hi Athena,
Hunter is our pick for a boys name.. so obviously we love it!! we are still tossing up middle names though... thats the hard part! Do you have your middle name picked?
Hunter was my #1 boy name (Hunter S. Thompson fan here). I like Hunter Amadeus as the middle name.
Unfortunately now that I see how common it has become I am not too sure anymore.....
I knew a little boy named Hunter, he was a real cutie, I really like the name.
Love it :) It's a great, strong name.
I really like the name Hunter and I would love to be bold enough to give my child that name, but if he didn't turn out to be a real man's man, then he would have a name that he might be embarrassed by. Think of all the boys at school that were real geeks (and still are - I know, I'm married to one) - the name Hunter would have seemed a bit silly on them. However if you are going along those lines, what about Bear (as in Grylls)?
Love it! that's what I wanted for our DS but DP said no =(
Is it really that common now? I thought it was still relatively unused. I think it is a real man's name kwim? Like you can imagine someone called Hunter being a James Bond character LOL
