Hi Everyone,
I am very very proud to announce the Birth of my Daughter, Audrey Lorraine....
She was born on September 11th at 10.14am.....
Labour started Friday afternoon around 4.30pm, we went to hospital at 5.00am Saturday morning, was told we were only 2cm dialated, however, by 8am I was 7cm and shipped off the the Birthing Suite....
Everything happened very fast and very calm... I really wanted her birth to be natural and was very lucky that things went that way.. I did try the gas, however, I didn't think it did anything for me, so the birth was very much natural!! :clap:
My waters had to be broken as bubs was coming so fast, bub's really wanted out.. From the time my waters were broken (which my partner assisted in :) as well as the delivery and cutting of the cord) to when ourdaughter was born was 35mins.... No stiches, only lost 100mls of blood and was up and walking around after 1 1/2hrs...
The best feeling in the world was the warm, gooey, body put on my chest the second she was born into the world... There she stayed for the next hour, suckling away at my breast, she's a good little eater too...
My first words: I just had a baby!
To all the expectant mums reading this - all I can say is enjoy!! It was the best experience my Partner and I have ever had, we would go back tomorrow and do it all over again. I can remember ever detail of the labour and birth, and yes, at times it was painful that I felt I couldn't do it, but the midwives and my partners support was everything I needed....
