Too good to be true???

OK a bit of background: DH and I have been ttc for 3.5 years. Last year we found out that he has a complete blockage and that no sperm can escape when we dtd.

We did a round of IVF in August last year resulting in a chemical pregnancy. In Nov last year we decided to take a break from ttc and in March we came over to Europe to travel.

Fast forward to the last few days. I have been feeling very similar to how I was when I had the chem preg - very sensitive smell, very tired all the time, sore (.Y.) etc.

Today I decided to bite the bullet and buy a HPT (Af was due yesterday). I just did it and got a very faint second line. I dont want to get excited because it was a cheap quality test (still cost me 13 euro - $20! for one test). Greece doesnt exactly have a large range to choose from.

We have about a 1 in 10 million chance of ever being able to conceive naturally so its likely that AF will arrive any minute knowing my luck. Tomorrow is my birthday and we are meant to be going our tonight for drinks, not for me now just in case :rolleyes:

You just never never know! Nothing is guaranteed! I hope it's all good for yiu!

I should also add that I have had strange AF like cramps in my belly yesterday and today. They arent the same as AF but my lower tummy feels 'heavy' if that makes sense?

Oh im trying so hard not to get my hopes up but after 3.5 yrs TTC its hard not to :(

My hopes are up for you too hon! As they say- a line is a line, no matter how faint! I had to squint to see my first positive with DD.

Oh, Amy I totally understand about not wanting to get your hopes up but wanting to be positive for your baby. I truly hope there is a sticky bubba baking for you & your DH. Best of luck. Perhaps wait a couple more days then re-test - the line should get darker. FX

Omg how exciting!!! Fwiw we TTC for 2 years and before I go my BFP I was convinced AF was coming...cramps, sore boobs, felt just like AF...and yep to the heavy feeling too. And they do say a line is a line...
