For the last few weeks bubby has had her little head under my right rib - is it normal for bubo to still be breech as I approach 30 weeks? Does anyone know when they normally turn and what makes them turn - I read that it could be a sign something is wrong? But I am a bit of a worrier :wall:
Plenty of time to turn. dD2 was still breech at 32 weeks and slowly turned over a week.
I'm 33 weeks and my little man is breech. I still feel like there is plenty of time for him to turn. DD was breech too until 39 weeks when she turned. We actually found out that she had turned in the scan prior to the CS so we decided to wait but she never engaged. The Ob was astonished that she turned so late, apparently statistically that was very very unusual. SO - my advice? Never lose hope and get bouncing on that fitball and doing all the stuff recommended on the spinning babies website :)
DS1 was breach until around 34weeks (? Somewhere around there). This bub keeps on turning, will be breech one moment, transverse or bum up the next and then back again. I wouldn't stress too much if I were you. By all means start researching your options in case bubs decides to stay breech, but chances are that bubs will still turn. :)
Still plently of time to turn. This LO was breech at 30 weeks aswell.
DD was still swapping between head up and head down until 36 weeks, each weekly appointment she was a different way. My ob said she didn't pay too closer attention to which way around they were until 36-37 weeks, I mean it was checked and recorded at each appointment but nothing done or said about it.
I'm 29 weeks now and I think I can feel the feet down low, so I am in a similar boat. I think the baby is also posterior at the moment (just a hunch) so I'm not really winning any awards for ideal baby positioning!
I know this wont really help you much as Obs these days want bubs out sooner than later, but I was born 9 days post dates, and was breech until the day before I was born. Babies are very clever....
One of my best friend's DS was breech on and off literally every day over a couple of weeks before he was born. She was hospitalised early due to high blood pressure (not PE, it's an existing medical condition) so she was heavily monitored. Her DS just kept on spinning!! She was induced at 39 weeks as her BP was gradually getting worse but her DS had finally turned head down and stayed that way. Unfortunately she had a horrible allergic reaction to the induction gels and had to have an emergency CS anyway. I was amazed by how much babies can flip around in there though :lol: so I'm sure you've got more than enough time for your LO to get into a more favourable position.

I don't know much about anything else when it comes to this kind of thing, but just thought I'd mention that I was born breech. No problems, mum had a fairly short labour. They tried to flip me, but i wouldn't budge. Came out butt first! :D
DD was breech at my 20 week scan, and she was delivered at 34 and never moved, but I had very low amniotic fluid.
My brother, tho, was breech for many weeks and he turned and engaged at 38 weeks.
Still plenty of time to turn, even if you start getting closer to your dates and are not comfortable with bubs position there are things you can try and do to help bub move, they move quite a bit still so i'd wait a little but and see how you go.
My DD was opposite, apparently head down but we think she turned the night before and ended up footling breech.. so you just never know :)
Start acupuncture (techniques to help baby turn) - if you're in Melb Chris Tang does this. Also make the Spinning Babies website your friend :)

I know I shouldn't google, but I have been worried most of this pregnancy that the baby could have birth defects of some kind because of some medication that I was taking at the time of conception and a few weeks after, and google suggested breech babies are more likely to have defects. All scans have been fine, placenta is great and my ob said there is a reallly good amount of fluid.
I live in Tassie and not heard of any acupuncture places but will look into it, I have looked briefly at the spinning babies website but my time is limited as I am a busy, full time working mother of a gorgeous teenage nightmare :shakehead:, helping run a farm with DH - so don't get much time to muck around!!! (how did I get pregnant??!!)
Of course, ideally I would love bub to turn around but all I really want is to cuddle a healthy bub at the end of all this!!:pray:
Google is not your friend! :lol: The amount of times i have scared myself stupid reading google! My DD was breech until about 32 weeks i think or may have been later and then she was posterior and stayed that way!
I was breech until the day I was born at full term (not sure exactly how many weeks)....I read a birth story recently of a woman whose baby was breech at the start of labour, turned during labour and came out head first :) Still plenty of time to turn - I've read tips like playing music through some headphones in the waistband of your underwear, or shining a torch low down on your belly can sometimes help?
Slightly different scenario but boytwin was breech until 37 weeks and 6 days. He was not the presenting twin so has a bit more scope for movement but the midwives were still astonished that he turned so late. It's very possible :)
There is plenty of time for your bub to turn :) My DD turned breech at 36 weeks and refused to turn back, she was born by CS perfectly healthy. This bub was breech and turned at 36 weeks. I shone a torch low down on my pelvis and massaged circles over my bump in the direction i wanted her to turn. Spinning Babies was helpful for postioning. There is an osteo in Hobart who is great at helping bubs get into postion, i'll try to find his name if you like.

I am 32.5 weeks and bubs is breech also.
This is my first, so I don't know a lot, but I do not believe it can mean something wrong.
I think all it CAN mean is that there is the possibility that you may not get the birth you want, but baby will be fine and that's what really matters!
In the meantime, sing this to the tune of "Disco Inferno"
"Turn baby turn, Disco In Utero, Turn baby turn, turn that bum around"....
