OMG, my 3yr old is obsessed with his penis. Like, he is touching it ALLLLL day! I know they go through a bit of a phase like this but seriously, he's got a hand on it all day. It's driving me nutty!

So what have you said a million times today? And yesterday, and the day before....

"Where are you going?" and "what are you doing?" seem to be mine - She's always crawling away from me!

Also, "Just LAY DOWN so I can change your nappy!" :wall:

LOL, oh trust me I have a thousand other things I say a million times a day too, but the penis thing is doing my head in! I'm surprised the boy hasn't done himself some sort of injury or given himself and infection or something...

They are amazingly resilient, I'm sure he/it will survive. It doesn't seem to be until they are all grown up (if that actually ever really happens) that they become precious and and need to be treated with kit gloves :p I've seen my DSs stretch theirs to amazing lengths with no adverse repercussions :) I had a friend who's DS used to stretch his over the toy work bench he had and then hammer it(it was a plastic hammer but still brought tears to the eyes of any male adult in the room) :lol: If anyone told him not to do it, he'd yell at them "It's my doodie I can do it!" Fair call I guess :lol:

one of mine did give himself an infection with the constant penis touching.

Ours is "please be gentle" and "please listen to mummy!"

I find DS is more responsive if I tell him what I want him to do rather than what I don't. For example, if I want him to stop drawing on the table I'l say "please draw on the paper" rather than "don't draw on the table". :)

i think i need a dicta-phone sometimes so i can record what im saying a just replay it the required ten/twenty times till she listens,

i feel like a i just say her name over and over and over!!!!

today i started the day with an announcement that it was a listening day, and i would say things three times in a clear voice and if she didnt listen she would miss out on something fun! it has actually been a bit of a better day. :)

Then he gets up - usually only once and I have to barge in and growl and say "Do you WANT me to shut the door" He goes - NOOO DON'T SHUT THE DOOR, so I say - GO TO SLEEP and he does.
EVERY. NIGHT. SAME WORDS. SAME ROUTINE. Maybe I should record it too :rofl:

:rofl: we have something similar - whole night time routine, then he carries on like a pork chop banging on the wall etc...I go in and say 'If I have to come in here again I am taking all your cars away!' (he takes a few to bed)...then he goes to sleep!
