Hang in there...it took my DD a couple more years to get past the whinging completely! But it was definitely better at some times, it could be your DD is doing some kind of developmental leap and so everything is just that bit harder for her manage. Also, it's a ratty time of year for kids, generally, so much hype and rahrah over Christmas, end of year activities etc. Give her a bit of breathing space, and take some time out for yourself too. Then it will all be more manageable
Mwah.. Thanks darl xxx
I agree with Marydean. Once they're at school it seems to slow down a lot.
Best of luck over the holidays!
Just letting you know you aren't alone.
Lachlan is 7 and still whinges/cries over everything. Drives me batty.
oh god, really, that long?
Olive my 5yo has been driving us mad! She seems to have regressed and is competing with her 3yo sister. For her we have had a few at home pj days as she is exhausted and a bit over hyped about finishing kinder and starting school. I have been trying to spend a bit more focussed one on one type stuff with each girl. Tricky but really trying to carve out some differences as individuals for them. Dh has had to help and we have split the girls up a bit more than usual for Mum/Dad time.
My other ploy has been to get some time out! I have been trying to walk in the am so I feel less like the walls are closing in. I have also been lucky enough to catch up with friends who have kids the same age which has reassured me it is normal. Good luck!
DD1 is 6 1/2 and a master whinger still. Driving me batty, especially since Miss 3 has started as well :wall:
We're in the same boat at the moment to with DD1, she's 6 and the constant whinging is beginning to drive me insane...lol
If you find out can you let me know?
I think the only reason i think dd1 whinges less is because she's at school all day! She whinges as much, i'm just not there to hear it
DD's nickname is Whingey Woo...She is nine and a half :(
She has definitely become more hormonal (emotional) this year.
Her friends' mums all say the same.
Sorry to break it to you guys...
OMG. My nearly 6yr old DD is driving both me and my DH crasy. We don't know what to do about her sooking and whinging. I have ALOT more sympathy for my mother nowdays (she had 5 of us girls).
That last six months before the go to school is the worse for whingy! You are nearly there so
hang in there
Must be the age/time of yr. My DD1 is so so delightful atm. not really, im ready to emancipate myself from her ;)
Oh god DD1 is just over 9 and it's never been worse!!! She is more moody and emotional than she's ever been. I have no idea if this is a hormonal thing or just a DD1 thing LOL, but some days I understand why some animals eat their young...
I wonder if they're tasty
