DS16 went to his friends house last night, he came home earlier than expected and told me that his friend and the parents were taking ecci's. Now I don't know a great deal about ecci's and what they do but it just blows my mind why a parent would give a drug to their child :wall:.

Lol, that's crazy. Was he a good friend? How could your son just have learned this, did his friend not ever mention he gets ****ed with his parents? Totally would not be letting your ds go back. That's nuts.
No idea what would make someone think that is ok, then again some parents buy smokes/alcohol for their children which can cause just as much harm if not more!
Bet you are a proud mum though, well done to your son for his honesty and coming home soon!
They are not really close, he lives near us and see each other occasionally. This boy does also drink and smoke at home so DS may have seen him when he was on ecci's but thought it was the effects of alcohol.

I've heard of parents getting high with their children but ecci's are definitely not something i would give a teenager! Thats just absolutely crazy and i would consider dobbing them in!
You have yourself one smart young man who knew to come home straight away. I'm so sad that he had to witness something like that :( I was out clubbing with a very close friend when she pulled out a plastic zip bag and took one and offered one to me! i said no way but she put in my drink, obviously i threw the drink out but couldn't believe she offered me something like that!

I have no idea why i stayed friends with her after that. I guess because i was 19 and niave i really thought she was my friend. We aren't friends anymore for a totally different reason.:

My short term memory is shot to bits from taking e's in my late teens. Knowing what I know now about them, I wish I could turn back the clock and never have tried them in the first place.

It scares me to think if something went wrong, parents are high, there is also a younger child in the family too.

and it would be for that reason that I would consider taking it further. I know I couldnt live with that on my conscience if something terrible was to happen. Maybe even an anonymous call to the police hotline thing??:

Human Services are already involved with the family, I will be giving them a call. There is even more to the story but I don't want to say because it is so very upsetting.
