What time(s) did you child/ren wake last night?

Well, last night was a doozy for us. DH is away so I'm flying solo on the night shift. Normally he gets up to DS1.

9.15 pm - DS2 wakes, wants to come into bed with me.
12.00 pm - DS2 wakes, hungry. Has slight temp.
1.45 am - DS2 finally goes to sleep after **** farting around and generally being too cheerful.
2.00 am - DS1 wakes after coughing in his sleep for an hour or so. Move DS2 into his cot as I don't like both in the bed at once.
3.30 am - DS1 finally goes to sleep after insisting on sleeping on my head or having his foot in my back.
4.30 am - DS2 wakes, wants to come back into bed. Has a little drink but not really interested. Still a little warm but not upset. Goes back to sleep.
5.30 am - DS2 stirs, back to sleep
6.30 am - DS2 stirs again, back to sleep
7.00 am - I wake everyone up as I have to get to work!!!!

Needless to say I am strongly resembling a zombie this morning. Will ensure only easy tasks are completed today.

We had a fairly good one last night.
DS slept through from about 8.30 to 7.
DD went to sleep about 7. Woke constantly until about 9.
12pm DD woke, replace dummy, quick cuddle
2.30am - 3.15, DD woke, had a BF, went to sleep, woke again, gave her panadol for teething, went back to sleep, woke again, brought her into bed with me.
6am - I woke up to DD's beautiful sleeping face.
7am DS woke, went to the toilet, then went back to bed! He only stayed there for a minute though as he realised the "sun awake" on his clock, so he could get up.
7.15 DD woke.

I had a similar night to yours on Saturday night. DD was awake constantly. Makes for an absolutely crappy day. :hug: Time for caffeine!!

:hug: what a shocker you had :( that sounds like my nights used to be - but just from DS :lol:

i'm lucky now - DS slept from 9-6.45. although i did have to get up a couple of times for the toilet - so much pressure for so little return :rolleyes:

i am mentally preparing myself for it all to kick off again though in the next couple of weeks!

We had a good night for a change

Both in bed at 7.30
00.15 DD2 wakes and climbs in with me, DH moves to the KS in her room
3ish i wake and move DD2 to other side/boob as shoulder is sore
5.20 DD1 wakes and shout for help as her foot is stuck down the side of the bed, i rescue her and she comes in to my bed
The girls play while i doze till 6 when we got up.

DD woke at about 10.30 crying in her sleep - she wet the bed and was uncomfortable but too sleepy to wake up. Stipped her bed & changed her then put her in bed with us.

At about 3am she woke again wanting a drink, so I made her sit on the toilet and got her a drink, then she went back to sleep but for the whole night was unsettled - stirring in her sleep... I feel wrecked this morning as I catch the train at 7am for work. I bet DD is tired too!

My DH is working away to atm so I feel your pain :hug:

DD1 was difficult to go down last night so she was playing every excuse under the sun from 7pm until 9:30 then snuck into my bed at around 1am
DD2 woke at 11pm and 2am

We had a great night for a change.
DD1 always a great sleeper:) fell asleep in the car after watching the footy with her dad at a mates house so about 9pm to 9am. Did not wake up at all.
DD2 who usually wakes about 3 times, fell asleep at 8pm, woke at 4:30am for some warm milk, 10 minutes later fast asleep and woke up at 7:45am.

DD2 only settles for me so it does not matter if DH is here or not and often he does not even hear her anyway. DD1 only wakes if she has had a nightmare about beetles.

Hope you get a better night tonight and your workday is a very easy one.

Ouch, a few rough nights out there - hope you all manage some sleep tonight!

I have no idea what times DS woke last night - I refused to look at the clock. But he woke twice for a feed, then about a half hour before we got up he was stirring so I snuggled him into bed with me and he went back to sleep but I was just dozing until 6am when DH gets up for work and DS insists that this is up time on most occasions.

I know it doesn't make it any easier for you but gee it's so nice to hear that I am not the only one who has kids that are up and down all night. It will be easier to say when I was actually in bed last night. I got lay in bed between midnight and 12.20am then between 4am - 5am and DH let me grab and hour from 6am - 7am while he had the kids getting ready for work.
Last night was a real shocker!!! Normally I'm up at a maximum every three hours.

OMG yes, now I remember. DS1 wanted to watch The Wiggles. I pointed out it was 2 am so not likely. Thankfully he accepted this.

I've had many a nights like that (and mostly on my own too)...so I can totally sympathise with you :hug:

Last night was not much better here either:-

8.30pm - DS2 (2yo) finally stops coughing enough to fall asleep
9.00pm - DS1 (almost 4) finally stays in his bed and goes to sleep
9.15pm - DS2 wakes coughing and crying...a little cuddle and his back in bed
9.30pm - DS1 wanders out of his room...he wants to watch TV - march him back and lay next to him for a little bit...finally he is snoring!
11.45pm - DS2 wakes coughing again...once again a cuddle fixes that
1.15am - DS2 wakes coughing again...cuddle didn't work this time...bf didn't work, drink of water didn't work...vicks all over...still coughing...a small dose of medicine and finally he relaxes and goes back to sleep
2.45am - DS2 wakes again...thank goodness a little cuddle worked this time
6.15am - DS2 wakes crying...he and I are up by the look of it.
6.20am -DS2's crying wakes DS1....we're all up now.

Now 1pm and DS2 is finally having a sleep...wonder if I can convince DS1 to have a rest so I can too :) - I very much doubt it.

That is a shocker!! Hopefully they give you a brilliant sleep tonight. That's what gets me through nights like that, the likelihood that the next night can't possibly be as bad! :lol:

After three days of gastro in our house, I had a reasonably good night but DH and DD1 slept in the spare room together and DD spewed up her bottle at midnight which involved clothes and bedding change for DH. I didn't hear a thing. :lol:

7pm DD1 and 2 both asleep

8.30pm I accidentally woke DD1 when checking on her. Back to sleep by 9pm

9.30pm I go to sleep

12am DD1 spewed in bed with DH but I was blissfully unaware in our bedroom with DD2

2.30am DD2 had a quick feed and back to bed

3am DD2 still happily chatting in her bassinet. I record it on my phone cause although annoying, it was so damn cute too! She finally goes quiet around 4am :rolleyes:

5am DD2 still babbling! I have no idea how long she's been at it again! I give her a quick feed then back to sleep

7.15am DH and DD1 awake and come into see us

8am DD2 wakes for her feed

It looks worse written down TBH cause I feel surprisingly refreshed after the past few days!

:hug: wow bad nights out there last night! Mine wasn't too bad considering but I had DS1 up until 9:30pm refusing to stay in his bed. After he was finally asleep I hopped into bed...then DS2 woke up screaming for 2 hours. Think we both nodded off around midnight then he woke up screaming again 30 minutes later for awhile. DS2 woke again about 2:30am screaming but unsure what the time was when he finally calmed down. Both boys then awake at 7am. DS2 has been sleeping through for some time now so that was very unusual for him, plus he's pretty placid so I was not sure what to do!

Mine was pretty good. DD1 slept through (but she always does so no surprise there).

DD2 woke up at 4am so I put her in to bed with me but she was pretty restless till 7.30 when we got up.

Am very thankful though that at 19 months she's finally started sleeping through more often. I was sick of delaying going to bed because she ALWAYS woke up between 10pm - midnight.

9.30pm stirred a little .....quick pat on the back and back to sleep
11.30pm woke for a quick boob suck
4.30am woke for a quick boob suck
7am up for the day

4.30 I wake up and expect to feed........he sleeps blissfully on AAARRGGGHHH. I couldn't get back to sleep until 6 ish
7am he wakes happy and bright for the day.....I stumble about due to not having slept when he did!!!! AARRGGHHH

Omg you poor mamas!

I won't mention that my DS slept from 6:45pm-7am. No wake ups :dance:

My other child in utero decided to wake me up by using my bladder as a trampoline around 1:30am and then hubs kept me awake snoring til 3:30... *yawn*

7.30pm - bedtime.
11.30pm - DS wakes, crying. Gave him a bottle, back to sleep.
5.45am - He's up again, hungry. Gave him a bottle, back to sleep.. or so I thought.
6.00am - Up again, but still rubbing his eyes tired. Pat him on the bum, give him a toy and attempt to power-nap until 7.
6.15am - Access denied! He gets cranky again. More bum patting, I swiftly exit when he settles down.
6.30am - Power-nap failed. I give in and get up.


Vast improvements have been made in the sleep department lately. Rock bottom for me was getting up to him 11 times. I stopped counting after that, I found it de-motivating to the max.
