It's designed for those who want to support each other in their breastfeeding journey, however long that may be. We're having problems again. Miss A is pulling off and then scrambling to latch back on, and getting upset. Just when I thought we were finally getting it right :-( I guess its back to the LC for us . . .

Yay a new thread! Well DD's last few months of extreme fussiness feeding and occasional breast refusal seems to have settled...at last! *touch wood* not sure id it was the coffee elimination or she grew out of it or even whether I just stopped worrying about it so much. She's still a super quick feeder. Our solids journey is going well too... She isn't eating much yet but devours her food in small increments and she's digesting most of what she eats going by her nappies- they are a sight to behold!

Yay - Breastfeeding is lovely again, just gotten over a bout of mastitis, I swear it's worse than child birth!

Anyway, is it normal to have a really good letdown in one boob and not the other?

Starting on the journey again. C section at 38 weeks and a very very hungry baby while staying in hospital with formula pushing night mw's even ob told me to stick to my ground and refuse.

Started pumping and have got two little pots of liquid gold ready for the top up feed 20ml each.

Really is no easier second time round even after successfully feeding number 1 for 15 months!

The early days of pumping have returned! Lol. Do not disturb lol

Mummy Naomi yes totally normally, my right has the water cannon at letdown.

Loula sorry to hear about the pushy night nurses. Keep standing your ground and hopefully they'll get the point soon.

MummyNaomi - I have that problem too. When I'm feeding at night lying in bed poor Miss A gets drowned/soaked in milk if I forget to put a pad on my left side while feeding her from the right. Keep forgetting - don't think too well at 3am!!

Loula - I hear you it not being easier with subsequent bubs. I'm on No. 3 now and she is by far the hardest. I've been so close to giving up so many times now.

I thought bubs was supposed to get quicker/more efficient at feeding as they get older? I know she's still tiny, but I'm sure Miss A is taking longer to feed these days than she ever has.

Whew glad my boobies aren't crazy then. I've noticed the letdown on the other side is getting better since attachment on that side gets smoother. She latches on perfect on one side but the other just seems awkward and always takes a few times to get a decent and comfortable attachment on

HELP!!!!!!
My 1 yr old DS decided this evening that biting instead of feeding was fun! He has no teeth but I think is teething. I pushed him off ('cause it hurt) and he thought that was funny and giggled at me. Next time he did it I turned him away but he didn't care......totally not a food oriented little chap who has always been ahrd to keep weight on.
My boobs now HURT! and he is sleeping after finally aving a small feed about 6.30 ish.
Any hints on stopping the biting and particularly letting him know it's not a fun game!.......such an adorable cheeky grin however when he gets a reaction from me arrrggghhhhhh!

Kateo - We just went through the gummy bites.. I tried very hard to not react.. He's stopped it now, so I'm not sure why.. I'm sure it was related to teething..

I'm slowly psyching myself up to stop BF.. Not that I want to, but I'm pretty sure once I stop expressing I'll lose what little milk I do have and DS will wean as he's not a comfort sucker at all.. I really hope not. I don't want our BF relationship to end so soon.. In February it'll be 12 months since he started breastfeeding. I'll stop expressing then, so we'll see what happens.. I HATE expressing and want to stop now, but I want him to have BM for 12 months.. Plus, as I said I'm pretty sure once I stop expressing my milk will go. :( Once he stops that will be it. I wont ever feed another baby :(.. How I wish our journey had been easier and more enjoyable.. I hope by February I am ready to let it go.. I don't think I will be though.. I love feeding him.. When he does feed.. but with the breast refusal and the expressing it's honestly more stress than pleasure.. I'm feeling a bit sad tonight.

Another Q from me..... tonight DD was flailing, going for the boob, would latch on for a few seconds then frantically throw her arms/legs around and take the book on and off. Eventually she latched on properly and fed to sleep. She tends to cluster feed each night around 530-830ish (which is fine as this is followed by a decent sleep). Anyway, the flailing arms, seemingly frantic movements were weird, I am thinking she was over tired? Is that normal?

My DS does that either when he's overtired or impatient for letdown.

With my DS it usually worked to just use a very deep voice and say no biting. But someone did tell me that if that still doesn't work, give them a flick on the cheek. Not sure if it works as my DS never really liked being told off with a stern voice. It usually us just a phase with the teething sensations in their mouth, so hopefully he will stop on his own soon. But this habit seems to cone and go. Just remember what works and it puts them back in line.

MN, my DD did that tonight too, it's usually only because she's overtired.

AFM, I'm loving that DD can now tell me when she wants a feed, it's so cute! We were out a bit today and she got tired. At one point we were waiting outside Big W and she was sitting on my lap facing me. She tapped my chest, said "bup" then laid her head down. When I didn't get one out for her she wriggled til she was lying down and tapped me again saying "bup". So cute! Thankfully she understood when I said we didn't have time and she could have some when we get home. Love her :)

DS is similar kaytee, he pulls down my top then says nunununnn. So cute. Then if I don't respond he attempts to bf through my top or on my arm lol.
