We don't co-sleep but Iggy's cot is right next to the bed. I am paranoid about even DTD when he is asleep in his cot, so wondered what co-sleepers do?

Haha Caro! I guess you have to be creative LOL
We would put Sammy in his cot and be very very quiet lol....now that hes in his bed for a few hours at least..its certainly improved somewhat!!!

There are other places than the bed for DTD. Normally we wait till she has gone to bed and use the lounge room, other than that we move her into the cot (that is set up as a sidecar) and just be quick and quiet.
I agree with Caro though, having a kid just makes us a bit to tired to be DTD that often anyway. Even if she was in her own room, I doubt we would do it more often.
We don't lol
I'm a bed only girl and DS sleeps in our bed so its very rare that i'll venture in to anything out of the bed!
I figure we have plenty of time in the future to catch up on all that :D
Don't feel bad Caro, we haven't either, and we don't have a toddler LOL. I have had some minor issues with my hooha that have made me fairly disinclined to DTD, but I should be good to go about now really........just got to work up the courage :cryinglaugh: Which is hard when you're sleep deprived and short on time
I wouldn't feel bad either, Caro. My DH is such a dear (though he's a bit of a 'nag' in the DTD department) that I only do it because I feel sorry for him, LOL! I have zero sex drive atm - even though he makes it 'worth my while' (sorry - TMI!) I just don't *ever* feel like it. So, if I were more honest, I wouldn't be DTD either... And we don't co-sleep
the same way as everyone else :P
we usually just sneak off to a differant room...
Gees do people only do it in the bed?! :P
Hahahaha you guys are so funny!
Mason sleeps in the basinette right next to our bed and we just dtd right next to him! He cant see anything....plus we try and wait till he is asleep/
a baby isnt gunna stop us :p
Hehe Yep! i don't like it anywhere else and i've tried a lot of places trust me ;)
So because the only time DS is alseep he's in our bed, its pretty much impossible to happen! Theres just something about soft bed sheets, pillows and a fluffy quilt that i love! Hard surfaces, couches, chairs, shower, bath etc just don't do it for me hehe
We only do it in bed! We have a housemate!
We are lucky enough he wanted to stay with us with a newborn. Don't think he would stay if he caught us in the act. ;)
omg, keep posting please LMAO
hahahaha
Chelsea started off in her own room... but then moved into ours for 2-3 months...she is a light sleeper...and its not til then u realise beds squeek! SO we had to resort to the lounge room....or wait to the early hours (1-2am) when she was in a deeeeep deeeep sleep....or if she was in our bed, *try* to move her into her own cot, or use the spare bed, floor, lounge...
Id forever say 'SHHH Chels will wake up'...
Hmm shower sounds good.. but since we moved outta our NSW house.. the shower as never been bigger enuf for some DTD action.. just everything else...LOL
ummmm I am with Kelly - The bed is the last place I feel like dtd. I am a middle of the day person, so we wait till DS2 is down for a nap and DS 1 is busy with a dvd - then get creative and quick! lol
A futon is great for dragging into the lounge room aswell!
Hi,
Now, you are going to find out much more than you probably ever wanted to know. It's a funny thing, people think co-sleeping will kill your sex life, but it's my observation that co-sleepers tend to have more kids than anyone else!
My suggestions. Wait til kids go to sleep and tranfer them temporarily to their own bed or the floor for a while.
Set them up in the morning with some toast, a drink and the TV and sneak back to bed.
Go to their bed (the cot will be a bit cramped)
Have a spare bed for the purpose.
As others have said - you don't need to do it in bed, at night, there are plenty of options.
Often enough we have been confronted by 2 bright little eyes peering around the door Oh, well. Doesn't seem to have done any harm
