A Name for my Heroine
Hi all,
I need a name for the lead character in my story. She is mid 20's, attractive, career driven, strong willed and focussed. She also comes from a respectable and well known family and from a upper middle class background. I need a first, middle and last name for my character. For first names I have come up with the following, but would apprecite some more ideas based on the description I have given!!
Eva
Kate (Catherine)
Anna
Sarah
Eden
Also some ideas for some surnames would be great!! Please help!!
-
Liz (Elizabeth) Alexis McCarthy
God - this could be a very long thread! (i am guessing whe is from a caucasian background?)
-
Sarah Anne Fenwick (just popped into my head!)
-
Yes she is from a caucasian background. Was thinking the mothers name would be Elizabeth (Beth for short). Great surname! Thanks for the ideas Kitt3n and Shellbell!
Keep them coming guys! I'm looking for a strong, simple but traditional name - nothing too out there - but something that would suit a woman in her mid 20's.
-
Is it set in modern day?
Genevieve (Evie?)
Katharine/Kate
Clare
Susan
Lucinda
Carlisle
Mmm Upper middle class sounding surnames...no idea..for some reason I'm thinking Mc or St something, or maybe hyphenated names?
McClure
St. Clair
St. James
Mander-Jones
I like the St. names the best though, they seem to go with long and short first names too.
-
Hmmm....How bout Eden Jayne Preston??
-
For some reason Isadora Jane just popped into my head.
-
Keep them coming girls - this is fantastic!!
It is a modern day setting and a modern storyline.
-
Ok... what about...
Emily Jane Prescott
Katie Mae Johnson
Lara Hope Presley
Eva Leigh Carson
-
Girls these ideas are great!! I am thinking my main characters last name will be Carmichael - do you think that is too American? I have used nearly all of your suggestions of surnames and first names for other characters in the story so thank you so much!!
Still need a first name...
-
I like it, ist that the surname in the reese witherspoon movie sweet home alabama?
I think maybe a shortish name would do with it (could be short for a longer one though)
oooh or CAsey of Cassidy. I like Casey Carmichael!
-
Well i think Lydia goes well with Carmichael!
Lydia Louise.....
-
Carmichael is a popular and distinguished surname used alot in southern US.
Other surnames I was considering are Wright, McMahon, Maguire and Hamilton.
Which one sounds better?
Front runner first names are Eva, Anna and Eden.
Hmmm... Eva Hamilton?
-
I like Eden Hamilton, middle name mmmm not so sure, how about Faith? Eden Faith Hamilton.
Or how about Marie for a middle name? Oooh this is very hard, and very exciting!
-
Layla Elize Carmicheal
Layla always sounds (to me) like well groomed lady with and exqisite back-ground.
Elize - named after her mother
And I like the Carmicheal, but Hamilton will do also
my 2c worth ..
-
How about Stella? I heard that this morning on TV (Tori Spelling named her bub this)....
