That was my fear - the sports drink reference, and I was wondering if I was being paranoid or if others woul pick up that it sounds a bit like 'Lucozade'. Does anyone else think this?:

What do you mean about sounding like an infection - a specific infection?! Now I'm worried! :)
Funny how you mention lucozade... my friend had a baby and named him luca.. and their last name is pronounced like zany... luca-zany...she was worried about that too I think, but still called him it - and it suits him - he's GORGEOUS.
I'd go for Luca Roman.
You may find that he gets called Lucazade as a nick name anyway. He may really like it, or may grow to like it. Kids always find nick names for their friends. I don't think it is a bad nickname. :)
