Help - new and clueless to this game!
Hi girls, I need some advice Smile
I have PCOS and have been on provera and clomid for the past 18 months - no ovulation at all!
I had ovarian drilling, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy 3 1/2 weeks ago (all looking good) and I finally ovulated for the first time in years 10 days ago - I think??? I have the ovulation test sticks - but the test line came up lighter than the control line around the time I was supposed to ovulate and the instructions say that is negative! However Dr told me I O'd because I had a Day 21 blood test and progesterone levels were 32.6 when they used to be 1.9 average prior to the drilling procedure. Anyway so there is a small chance I could be pregnant seeing I ovulated this month.
My questions are - seeing I ovulated, will I definitely get my period 14 days later (provided I'm not pregnant)?
If I don't get my period by day 32, does that mean I could be pregnant or could my body do it's usual thing and not menstruate? - even though I ovulated this month?
If I did indeed ovulate Day 18 of my cycle, does that mean my cycle will be 32 days this month?
I had niggling, throbbing pain for a few hours above my pubic area but to the left 2 days ago and worse yesterday on the right side. Today - nothing. I had a small smear of pink on the toilet paper today but no period as yet. But I'm not expecting it until day 32 and I'm only on day 28 anyway.
I also have really sore breasts - but they have been sore pretty much since around the time that "I think" I ovulated (day 1Cool.
Sorry for so many questions and probably silly ones, but I'm going crazy!
Any advice would be really appreciated Smile
Thanks
My PCOS story maybe good maybe bad???
Im 33. I was loosely diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago and finally had it confirmed 6 months ago. So all those years that I had unprotected sex (with long term partners) I wondered why I never fell pregnant...
I have been with my current partner for 9 months and he IS the one.
5 days ago I had a sneaky suspicion that i was pregnant but didn't get my hopes up, but did a test any way. POSITIVE! Very excited, especially since I was told that the most likely way for me to fall pregnant was to go on Chlomid to start and then take necessary steps after that, so falling pregnant naturally was a huge surprise/relief.
However, I am 5w3d and am bleeding, not very heavy but still, there is blood and extremely slight cramping. My HCG levels were high and "healthy" as the doctor put it but my ultra sound wasn't very positive, they couldn't find a "yolk sac" or a heart beat, but I was told that this is pretty common with pregnancies under 6 weeks.
I'm not out of the woods yet, I fear I am miscarrying as I write this but I still am waiting for more Blood results to measure my HCG levels, tomorrow. If they have risen, then I can try to stay positive in thinking this pregnacy will go ahead, if they haven't moved or are lower then I guess my fear will be confirmed.
Either way, this is to all you PCOS girls, it is possible to fall pregnant naturally and regardless of whether I mis carry or not it isn't PCOS related.
