Hi Lauren not at all, i am at Palm Beach. Do you have a mothers group that you attend??
i go to the aba group at coolangatta but some of us bellybelly girls are trying to start one in tweed but its just hard with swimming lessons and other things we sign ourselves up for to commit to any certain day so we end up meeting haphazardly. i did used to go to one at kingscliff but i've only just moved back to the area as i moved away for 4 months.
on monday - 27 july - theres an open invite for bellybelly mummies to meet at tweed city shops near kmart/medicare at 9:30am for a pram walk and then maybe some morning tea if you're interested??
Thank u for the kind invitation unfortunately my son is having needles on Monday morning otherwise we would definately be there. Please keep me posted for further dates.
Kmarree - I live at Tugun so right near you!! My DD is only 5.5mths old so similar age to your son..... I'd love to meet you for a coffee one day or we can organise something with Lauren for another day! Keep in touch! At the moment my left foot is really sore and i cant walk properly so not really leaving the house anytime soon!!! :cry: I have no idea why its so sore!
Hi my name is Clare and I have a DD Ellah who is 13 months old. I'm 26 years old and so is my partner. My partner and i will be moving to the Gold Coast in December, which i know is still a little while away but i was hoping to make contact with mums on the coast before we move so that i'll know some people once we move and i will not need to be stuck at home all the time. We will moving to Elanora so not to far from Palm beach or Tugun or Tweed. I lived on the Coast most of my life but moved away to Townsville 9 years ago and now we are moving back. Lauren, I'm a bit worried DD might get a bit cranky/tired too as she sometimes sleeps around that time.... but we can always stop somewhere along the way and give them a feed too.

Meet at 8:30am at the kids playground opposite the Coolangatta Hotel (corner Warner Streets & Marine Parade). If noone knows where that is then PM me and I'll help you. I'm going to park underneath "showcase on the beach" shopping centre where Aldi is.... heaps of parking undercover there. I hope thats not too early for people, its just easier to find a carpark that time of day and also not too hot in the day!! (don't want bubs to get burnt)
We can walk for 30mins or as long as we all feel like it and then head over to a cafe for a drink and a bite to eat?

Hey Everyone. Hope everyone is not being blown away too much with the dust storms down there. Ben and i have a date that we move. Yay. The house gets pack up on 14th December and then we are staying with his mum for a few days and then we leave on the 19th. I cant wait. Next year is going to be a whole new start for my little family. So i look forward to meeting you all in the new year. Love the idea of Pram walks too.

im not sure if anyone is interested but i heard that the Kinscliffe TAFE have a very good playgroup which is facilitated by the child care students. i called them and they have a waitlist which is actually closed until next year. (very popular) but they did give me a big list of all the playgroups in the area. im interested in trying some of them out if anyone wants to join me.

you'll have to tell me how you get your little one to sleep till 7am cos my little man is usually up at 5.30 if not earlier!!!! and the whole day light savings thing has thrown us a little. i still usually work off QLD time but i should change to NSW because then 5.30am is 6.30am!!!

oh bummer well I won't be there this week as its my sisters birthday on monday but hopefully i can meet you renata some other time. as for sleeping-in i think it depends on when you put your baby to bed as to what time they wake. they usually have the same amount of sleep each night (and it also depends how much light the room gets too) my daughter goes to bed later than most babies but gees she can sleep in well for me sometimes!! it's just trying to choose what i'd prefer - my time at night or my time in the morning but more often than not she makes the choice for us by refusing to go to bed before 8pm but wakes around 7am or later if she went to bed later - she has 11 hours at night (broken sleep of course unfortunately!). snuggling in bed if she wakes up early seems to buy me some more sleeping time too.
are you still going to the markets tomorrow shanti? tell me what super buys you get! i wish I could go as I could drop in on my way up to brissie tomorrow but I have to hang around for the in-laws to get here first to see Liberty. have fun anyway!!

Oh DD won't always sleep til 7am, she used to! Lately it's been more like 6am, 630am.... i know with my DD, if we put her to bed late she will still wake the same time!!! so i think every baby is different.... i think with longer summer days now sun is up earlier, it wakes DD thru the blinds now....
Yay! Monday sounds great!! Let's meet at 8am (QLD) time at the Coolangatta Surf Club? Do you know the one I mean? we can meet there then walk along the path to the other end up to Greenmount and back and depending on how the babies are we might be able to get a drink & morning tea somewhere afterwards? :D
We are moving to Terranora (right near Banora point) in 3 weeks time!! We just bought a house....yay!!!!

i have just realised i was waiting at the wrong surf club. im soooooo sorry. i was waiting at the coolangatta surf club near greenmount, i didnt know another existed until i started walking up the path after about half an hour and i walked past "the surf club coolangatta". i specifically asked my partner where it was too.
then i re-read your posts and realised we were supposed to walk to greenmount - again im sorry that i made you leave home earlier and then i wasnt there.
i cant believe i did that to you as i was looking forward to meeting you.
let me know if you would be interested in another walk. i will be there next monday aswell.

I was there waiting at 8am and I waited until 8:30am then it was getting too hot so we decided to go for our walk down to Greenmount and around the headland to Rainbow Bay then back again.... that is a shame we missed each other! I had a feeling you had been waiting at the wrong spot perhaps.... :lol: !!
I did see a few people with red prams on my walk but wasn't sure if I should ask if it was you or not and what would I have said? they might have thought I was strange!!! LOL
We had a nice walk then went into the showcase beach shops in the nice aircon :D and looked around, got a drink.
I can't meet you next Monday as I'm busy! We will have to arrange another walk soon and this time, get our mobile numbers? I will try and PM you :D

Yep that was me with the grey top (got too hot for the hoodie) holding Evan. he got very hot in the pram and did not want to go back in. (silly mummy left the black lambs wool in there and it was boiling)
i actually thought i may have seen you too, i thought you may have been changing your little one under the shade of a tree but was also afraid to ask!!!! hahaha

when is your big move to Terranora? we will be very close then so would be good to finally meet. i have decided to walk more regularly, so will be going down to coolie more often.
i asked my partner if he knew there were 2 surf clubs and he said yes the one that i was waiting at is known as Greenmount surf club!!! not happy jan! i wonder why he didnt tell me that when i asked the first time????

Yes!!! That was us!!!! I was changing Ava's bum as she'd done a HUGE poo and was letting me know about it and was upset!!!! It was so awkward! I didn't want to put her down on the grass incase of glass etc on the ground!:
We are moving next week!! I'll msg you here when we're all settled in as I want to go walking more often too and I LOVE walking along Coolangatta strip! it's such a pretty area and heaps to look at along the way.
