Have you tried upsizing?
he's already in ones that are slightly big, and he's soaking them...
Hi Boobaloo!
I've been using Sorbies (a Coles brand) which actually come in seperate day and night nappies and they are amazing (and cheap too). My DS1 drinks HEAPS of water and while the nappies are quite full the next morning, they dont leak.
i second sorbies but u can get them in coles or iga and even some woolworths
if your already washing a crap load of clothes, maybe look at getting a cloth NN?
We use Huggies & have had no trouble, until we need to upsize....which would have been my suggestion. But seems you already have. Ahhh only other thing is perhaps cut back what he is drinking before bed....sorry not much help.
My DD has always been wearing huggies nappies and has started weeing through EVERY night, so i was in coles and thought i would try there brand nappies, PLUS they were almost half the price of huggies and they are GREAT she has not wet through in the last 4 nights. So far so good!!
Good luck
would you believe we tried sorbies last night, and they worked the worst for us!
missymoo - i was thinking of getting a cloth night nappy, i just have to research some good ones.
i think tonight im going to put a maternity pad in his nappy *snigger*
boobaloo, PM me, if your happy to try second hand I can lend you some to see if something suits. I have a lot of large night nappies.
One that I can suggest though is the Genesa Forge Super night. I have an XL one here which should fit your son and I think it would take some wee'er to out wee it!!
Boobaloo, no joke, I have friends who swear by the pad in the nappy trick for their heavy wetters!
Have you tried the Aldi ones? I use them for both girls overnight. DD1 is in cloth during the day and DD2 is in Huggies cause I bought a pack for a promotion and they don't keep her as dry as the Aldi (Mamia) ones seem to.
Boobaloo - don't joke about the pads, but get some incontinence pads and use them - they hold more liquid.
There's actually a brand of nappy inserts called "Nappy Mates" - kind of like a booster pad for sposies. I used them with DD1 and haven't been able to find them at the supermarket since but just yesterday I discovered 2 nappy delivery businesses that sell them. Otherwise you can just use regular incontinence inserts as well.
hehehe, ladies, i snigger, cause i will actually be doing it!
lol, don't know what dp will thing of it.... hahah
I agree with Sorbies. Scout is the night wetter from hell and was soaking through everything with Huggies, the supposed best night time nap. I even put a maternity pad in it one night and he still drenched through.
We havent had an accident yet with Sorbies (touch wood) They are a bit annoying int hat they only come in a weeks worth with the daytime ones as well but worth it not to be doing extra washing every morning.
just put him in his night nappy - with a super absorbancy pad in it - lol, oh how we mess up our kids. fingers crossed that it works!
I used pads for Yasin. They worked a treat.
Mamia from Aldi never give me any issues & they can hold a heap of fluid. I'm amazed how heavy some of the overnight ones are & no leaks.
We use huggies in a larger size or overnight and that works well for us. I tried sorbies but ds wet through those..
I hope you have a dry night tonight ;)
Hi everyone,
I'm having a real trouble with my 3mth old ds leaking during the night. he is 7kg and i have him in Huggies boys crawler(6-11kg). sometimes they leak even if they are not full of wee!! and they always leak in the same spot - over the top of his right hip! getting very frustrated at having to change clothes and bedding in the middle of the night when it's cold! especially as he has just started sleeping through (except when he springs a leak!) and I bought 2 jumbo boxes on special!!!
Any advice would be much appreciated
In all honesty I would get hold of a fleece nappy cover (Maz-a-licious is good ;)) and put that over the top. The fleece will hold in any leakages and will still breathe so he doesn't get any hotter and sweatier. I have a M size that should fit if you want me to send it to you to try? sounds crazy I know. I do this overnight when we go away and I also recommended a friend do this with her NB when he was leaking. It works :)
Hi, you can buy the nappy mates direct from the company, just google them.
Only thing is, you need to buy in bulk. Pm me if you'd like to try some and I can send you a couple to try. we use them at night, so happy to send you a few or you could phone the company and see if they will send you a sample?
i had this problem with huggies... my thread i started is here somewhere, i started it not long ago. I since have changed to snugglers with no problems and thinking of trying babylove.
