Don't wear stripes or purple or teal, be prepared to wear brighter colour makeup than you might otherwise, and practice what you are going to do with your hands.
aaawwww dammit thats not fair is it? Spose you can tell when you're ready *stamps foot.
K, no stripes, speak slowly. Wear hair that makes YOU comfortable - will they do your make up?

The show has a very well dressed host (there's your first clue Lulu!) so I will be combing through my wardrobe for something good enough!
Hand in lap, quick pause before you anwer a question. So don't necesarrily speak t o o s l o w l y, just not too fast!
I am a shocker when it comes to waving my arms everywhere too :)

I agree, take a breath before talking, and if you can practise a sort of mock interview with someone that will do you all sorts of good - it's why students do practice exams and work experience/placements. So when the real thing happens, you have a sense of what you're doing.
Drink lots of water to be well hydrated, which will help your skin and you won't have dry lips.
The others are spot on with clothes that aren't too busy, you're best to go for your detail texture-wise as opposed to pattern/colour wise. Just keep it simple with jewellery, the bright lights will make you look lovely enough and you don't want to look like you're supposed to be on Dancing with the Stars.
How exciting! I hope someone's going to tape it and then chuck it on youtube or something for us to see! :D

So, what colours are good? My best non-patterned tops are black - which I never normally wear. I'm normally so anti-shopping, but I think it might be worth it this week!

Part of my job is helping train people for media appearances. This is what we tell people to do: focus on your key message.
Have two or three key points to which you will bring all questions if you can manage it. Think of different ways of putting your key points. Practise saying them out loud.
Practise responding to what questions you think you might be answered, bearing your key points in mind.
There might be some punchy phrases or humorous ones you can use to make your point - practise these so they come out smoothly.
Practise stopping to think and be still for a few moments while you formulate a response - not something we do in normal conversation!
Think of questions you don't want to answer, and think of a polite way of indicating that. "I'd rather not go into that today, but I'm very keen about xyz," for instance.
If possible, get someone to video a mock interview so that you can see what defensive or unflattering gestures you may make unconsciously when answering questions. Have a friend watch it with you and point out things you may not have noticed!

I'm a huge " Insight " fan ... i'm guessing that's the show you are going to be on in Jennie being mentioned ;) ... ha ha i get emails for what the topic will be on for the week so i will be keeping a look out for MY email from SBS :D
P.S - Hope your a fast talker as geez that woman cuts people off quick smart if she obviously feels the persons input isn't viable or going nowhere which is understandable as she is on a time frame too. Oooooh, SB hope you get a chat in there ... me toooo soooo excited for YOU :dance:
