My Baby Born @ 27 Weeks..

Well ladies im a mum! It's so so surreal and so so early.. :lol:

Our little man just wanted to come no matter how much we tried to stop him but he wanted to see the world for himself! :D

I had a 3hr labour (at home we thought it was Braxton Hicks) but after 3hrs of dull pain and then noticing a bleed i knew something wasn't right so we went straight to the hospital via ambulance and i delivered our little man Ronan at 12.49am.. He was 2.2 pounds, 37cms (which is long for his gestational age aparently) and 25cm head size.. :D

He will be in hospital for about 2 months while he still develops but he's pretty much breathing on his own already which is a strong sign! :D

As I said to you last night, CONGRATS!!! Whahoo, and so big for his gestation, but a strong little boy and I absolutely love the name!

I know a girl who had her baby girl at 26.5 weeks not long b4 you and her little girl was 780grams and couldn't breathe on her own, she is doing so well now 5-6 weeks on and was only given a 60% chance of survival.

So your boy is so much bigger and is so strong and is doing a great job.

congratulations.....i know its going to be tough the next couple of months but trust me prem babies are very tough,my little girl was born at 35 weeks and she had alot of hickups only because she got pnumonia and breathing problems,only to mention a few so hang in there and spend all you can with your baby as they can sence that your there....good luck hun...... ;)

my dh's cousin had twins at 27wks and you would never know it they are very healthy 6 1/2 yr olds.
