DD has discovered her nose and its contents and I don't know of a nice name for the boogers (as my DH calls them!) I thought of mucous but it doesn't seem quite right.
What do you call them?

Boogers here. But I think DS has learnt the word snot from preschool.. I prefer boogers. haha.
We call them boogies.
Yep Boogies here too :)
My little ones say "snotties"!!! Or "yuckies".
Ill often hear 'Mum I need a tissue for my snotties", or "mum, I have snotties on my finger"......:p
I called them aliens the other day for some reason lol! Have no idea where it came form???? Spose they are green and slimey like aliens lol! and they are invading your nose  x
they are called goubies here
DD calls them notties
Well Shel calls them nottie gobbles... makes me think she's going to eat them... but anyway LOL!
We call them notties or snotties, or boogies lol.
DH has taught DS 'nose candy'. It is so embarrassing in public when he announces he has caught a piece.
LOL we just call them boogers or just use a general "do you need to blow your nose?" question.
When I was growing up my Italian grandmother called it "mockley". I have no idea why or where that came from but we always used to say we had mockley in our nose. This is a woman who maintained that Italian babies never burp or fart and was horrified by my mother burping her babies after a feed!!
I just say "yucky boogie" & he always lets me get it with a tissue. Then he for some reason always says "bye bye boogie" kids hey. There are plenty of worse words out there for things & I thing this one is very tame & it's what they are. I don't see the point in making up fake names for things that they are going to learn soon enough anyway.
We call it snot or boogers. Is there a nice name for them? All the names I've heard are gross.
(Hiding under a bush...) I always thought that boogers or boogies was a bit impolite but it seems to be common!
I didn't want a made up name, more one that could be used freely in public without horrifying grannies (although by no means my motivation!) I suppose boogies is better than snot!
Greeny or booger here. DD went thru a phase of calling them worms but that ain't nice either
we call them boogies or DD says snook, which she copied from someone saying snot... so i go along with snook. lol
we call them green goblins
Boogs or snotties here.
Just snot here. But when DD has runny snot from both nostrils I say, Let me wipe away your "number elevens" (a phrase I learnt from BIL - I love it.)
Nose goblins! Extra points if they are stuck to a chair (gratuitous Ren and Stimpy reference).
Mockley is a good one! Might keep that tucked away for when DS is older :)
We mainly call them snotty gobbles lol
Boogies....though would like another name lol;)
We just call them snot.
We also say 11's if both nostrils are running.
Ooh, Tish - the 12th day of Yaksmas!
I don't think snot should have "nice name".... it's yuck and the name should reflect it as such.... *shudders*
we say boogies too. but ds is now saying eewwwww boogies when he has one or he says no boogies after we wipe his nose.. too cute :)
We call it "treasure" LOL
We've always called the runny stuff snot and the hard stuff bulldogs. I don't know why. It's what my Dad called them.
I also remember being sent to the principal's office when I was in grade two for asking where snot came from. I still don't understand why!
