I have some. My son is a year old
My DS was 13 months old :)
Had them from birth OSFM - pocket but because we were back and forth from NSW to FN QLD for the first couple of months DS wasn't in them full time until about 2-2half months.
DS was a few months old I think (maybe 2 months?) but he's been in AIO, AI2 & pockets the whole time, although I do have about 4 BBH fitteds... I may start using those for overnight soon. DS is now 15 months ;)
Full time since 6 months:)
Both part time since 6 months also I am a bit slacker in winter as I hate using the dryer and get a bit bogged down with the washing.
In this fantastic weather though, I'm only using sposies for night.
Bring on the sunshine!!!
Oh I'm glad to see this thread because I have only recently started using cloth and felt I was a little too late to be worth it. I bought a bundle of Baby beehinds Magic-alls . I love them!! They are pricey but so convenient. James has been wearing 'mostly' cloth now for three weeks - since just before he turned 5 months
I bought some when I was pregnant and we used them from about a week old. We've used them full-time during the day since. We've done full-time day and night since around 5-6 months. Jazz is 15 months now.
DD1 when she was 15 months, DD2 from 4 days - both full time :)
Once the meconium poo stopped so from about 1 wek for both girls. DD1 was full time and DD2 has a sposie overnight but cloth during the day.
DS i started at 16months and this baby will be just before a month old, as i go back home then :)
DS from 4 months old. Hopefully from birth with the girls
Harmony from birth, full time
Kane from around 6 months, full time
Zavier, around 2, full time.
The next bub will be from birth full time too. So I started late with Zavier, but was still definatly worth it. I have nappied the last 3, soon 4, kids for about $800!!!
Full time from 5 days old (with the exception of a weekend away and when it has been raining and there are no dry nappies!).
From around 5 months old. Was in disposables at night until about 5 1/2 months though. Started in terry flats then got a few magic-alls on sale, then got a heap off buy for baby. Definately saved cash!
DS1 was from 9 months and only part-time.
DS2 has been since about 6 weeks old, full-time.
on and off since bubba was about 2 weeks old, she's 8 weeks old now
since we got home from hospital, so when she was 3-4 days old. We use terry flats, so don't have to worry too much about long drying times. If we are going out for the day or away from home for a night or two I use sposies. DF refuses to have wet/dirty cloth nappies lying around the car! Lol
from about 5 months full time unless they dont dry quick enough
Fair enough I say. It is ok if you are somewhere with a washing machine, like when we stay with the grandparents, but not if the nappies will just be sitting in a bag for days.... stinky!!
DS1 was full time cloth from the time we got home from hospital. DS2 is still part time as we were given a gift of 3 months supply of sposies from a nappy service... we still have around 100 left at 7 1/2 months.
Used terry squares on DS from birth to 6mths
Modern cloth on DD full times from 5 wks until toilet training - she is still in night nappies but they stay pretty dry so much easier now
i was 30.
 Falguni
I was 22
2 weeks, 1 day - just put his first clothie on him this arvo. Would have gotten them out earlier, but we moved into this house on Tuesday & I only just found the nappies!
with DD, nearly 12months old, with DS from birth.
 ange...your terrible muriel!!!
My eldest 2 were in terry's from birth
Vy was the same and then full time from 2 months
Mateauz was in them from birth
Ive been in cloth ;) for 3 years myself
Hi all,
hope this isn't considered hijacking the thread but those who used from newborn, I wondered what sort of MCNs you started with?
I really want to use MCNs immediately but there is so much information out there about which nappies do / don't fit newborns and so on that I don't want to be 20+ of the 'wrong ones'!
thank you :)
i used prefolds and covers and a few bubblebubs bambams with covers. They grow so quickly out of the nb size, that financially it was much better for us to use prefolds. If money was no issue i would get a stack of bubblebubs bambams, they are a great fit, trim and absorbent. :)
Hi healthychick,
I used Swaddlebees newborn fitteds, Kissaluvs sz 0 and itti bitti smalls with a Motherease Rikki X Sml cover and they all fitted my 7lb2oz newborn. Cherubs Kiss Raphaels are also a great nb nappy, but hard to get hold of. I just didn't want to go there with flats LOL
One other thing too, if bub has chicken legs like mine did, go for some sidesnappers like Swaddlebees - they fit much better and don't gape around the legs until bub puts on some chub there. But having said that, a well fitting cover will catch most poos anyway.
HTH :)
Hayden has been in cloth since about 3 weeks old. He has been in disposables some nights but we finally have enough night nappies. So he has been full time cloth for about 2 weeks (He's now 10mths).
I must admit I don't use fitted nappies. I mainly use BBH Magicalls or Green Kids (love them both but DH prefers the Magicalls). I have also got some bumgenius but they are the large size & don't fit yet.
