could this be it????
ok i know there are a thousand threads on this.
but still from about 5pm today i have been having really low down period style cramps. all day i have been feeling teh urge to use my bowels and have done about 5 times, very odd for me im usually 1 every second day at most.
the pain is enough to make me stop and catch my breath. they seem to be coming around every 5-10 min apart but not consistent.
my back is killing me and it gets worse with the pains.
bub has slowed down moving slightly and i generally feel sick :(
last check up on monday bub was 1/5 engaged and in perfect position. i have been having excess CM ( tmi sorry) enough to warrant wearing a panty liner and at stages i feel like ive wet myself but its only CM..
i havent rung teh hospital as i dont wnat to go in for nothing and with the 2 other kids its harder as well..
what to do
-
I think its starting....... :cheer:
-
but we arent ready lol....
hubby doesnt have hollidays for 3 more weeks and i havent even got teh cot up or car seat in lol or my uni assignments finished....lol
oh well could be an interesting night..
oh and DS has his piano recital tomorrow.
-
go take a nice cool/warm shower and try to kick back on the couch for awhile. This could be the start but waay too early to go to hospital.
It's funny, even after 2 kids I still couldn't decide if I was in labour with the 3rd!
-
it does sounds like early labour. This can go on for days so you may make that piano recital after all. Might be worth putting the car seat in now though!
Good luck, I am very excited for you:D

They always come at the worst time ;)
-
nice shower sounds great, yet getting in to it hurts :( its a shower bath and teh bath is really deep lol hubby's idea, he has never had sore hips...
-
Well its about time he learnt his lesson ;) Get him to put you in & get you out. Oh & he needs to rub your back while your in there ;)
-
lol no he is busy installing the new gps and dvd player in the car, so ill let him be..
see we dont even haev a car in working order lol typical.
-
boys & toys  lug that car seat out there & tell him 'while your there...'
-
lol yeh, that woudl mean getting it out of teh other car and converting it back and finding teh abby insert.... he can sort it out while i am in hossy lol
-
I agree it could def be the start of it... hope your ok and comfy enough at home.
I'm under strict instructions the minute i have regular contractions to go in, whether they be 15min or 2 min... hmm
GL with it all... when they are ready they will come, whether your ready or not! lol
GL hope everything goes smoothly for you!
-
Good luck hun :). Try to hold bub in for a bit longer though, it's a little soon ;).
If you plan on BFing, check out the ABA's site for info on BFing premmies etc, babies in SCN. Your bub might not need SCN, but it might too, and it's always best to be prepared if possible.
Hope tonight is very uneventful for you.
-
well everything settled down about 2am.
still got niggles but nothing like last night, managed a decent sleep.
had a couple of really big ones which were a bit worrying but all good this morning, see how today pans out
-
That all sounds great, less work for your body to do when you are in active labour. Try to get some rest, I think you may be busy soon!:)
-
Hanging in there? Glad you didn't go in?
Get as much rest as you can today hun. Make sure you got everything in your bag, make sure the batteries in your camera aren't gonna die after 3 photo's, lol.
Rest up xx
-
well put teh car seat in, need to get it properly fitted it just doesnt seem to be sitting right.
didnt pack a hospital bag, or baby bag lol. spent the day with mum and dad, cleaned up a fair bit around the house, only had maybe 10 contractions all day so nice and relaxed.. i find if i walk around alot or bend over to much they flare up and start off then with resta dn shwoer they go away..
glad i didnt go in to hossy. but thinking its only gonna be a week or so to go :D seeing my OB/GP on monday so will let him know whats been happening
-
Very exciting hun :)
All mine started while I was sleeping. Prelabour was always only the day before for me. I'm hoping it doesn't go on for too long, just make sure you get lots of time to rest JIC. Don't wanna be too tired from all the preperation & bringing it on for the real deal ;)
Hope you get a good sleep tonight xx
-
sounds like what i had with my first, they are braxton hicks and are completely random, some were very strong and some not so strong but would make me stop and hold my breath. they started about two weeks before i went into proper labour, you will know when that starts cause they will become constant and wont take a break, mine started at 10 minutes apart and didnt stop from there.
-
Sounds like my pregnancy with Emily, it started at 36 weeks, she was born at 40 weeks  Hopefully it won't be that long for you!
-
same jodi i hope it isnt 4 weeks away :(
yeh figured it may eb braxton hicks, its just last pregnancy i had irritable uterus so had to eb induced, and kinda hoping it isnt that starting again :(
had a few more really bad ones today, tehy are regular but only for 2-3 hours at a time then go away..
seeing my doc tomorrow so will tell him all about it
-
Hope you're ok & it either settles or starts soon xx
-
Sounds exactly how I felt with DS but it all happened the day before. Hope your's calms down and you can get some rest before it really happens! Exciting though :D
