PG Brain @ It's Best!
Get ready to laugh, i really AM losing the plot:
So yesterday we had a massive day, DD had her boyfriends 1st birthday, we were out from 12 til after 5 so decided we would just get fish & chips for tea, don't like the new local one so drove to the next town to get my chips.
Went in and ordered, realised had no cash so went to IGA to get some drinks and some cash out, in the meantime it's raining, DD and i are still in our lovely party dresses and we have to walk back to the F&C shop in the rain.. you can imagine it can't you big fat PG woman, toddler on her hip, purse and drinks in the other hand all frocked up!
So get back into the F&C shop and our order is ready.. gee that was quick, grab our stuff and head to the car, then i think... there doesn't seem to be much here...
You F***ing idiot you FORGOT TO ORDER THE CHIPS!
The main part of the order and i had completely forgotten, i walked back in the and lady looked really worried that something wasn't right.
I asked if they could please cook me some chips and leave my order on the shelf, she checked the docket and said 'they weren't on there' i said no i know... STUPID PG BRAIN!
She had a bit of a giggle and cooked my chips quick smart!
So what have you done?

Thought it might have made you laugh last night... the funniest part is i NEVER wear makeup etc.. you know me,... well i was in a nice black dress, makeup and everything, A was in a gorgeous party dress with her hair in a nice glittery clip.. we must have looked a treat!

forgot to wash the conditioner out of my hair
Drove 100km to ballarat for an appointment on cup day, appointment was a week later
Constantly putting the dishes in hot water to soak then forget to go back and wash them till the water has all drained out and have to start again
-
Hehe thats funny.
I had no weet bix for DS for a week, and had been to supermarket at least 3 times in week and every time got home unpacked and was like bugger no weet bix AGAIN, DH thought it was funny as was always first thing I said I needed before going!!

My pg brain is so bad I cant remember any of the stupid things I do and have done.......
-
Went to meet my mate for breakie this morning..... we usually go to one of two places.
Yup, you guessed it. I went to the wrong one.:wall:
I was sitting getting more and more annoyed that she hadn't showed and she text me to ask me where I was. Quickly drove to the place that she was and all was good.
I'm such an OCD person usually. I'm finding pregnancy brain a little hard to deal with.
DOH!!!!

I forgot to go to work one day, remembered at 10pm that I started at 3pm
-
 You made my day!!!
Don't worry dear I have said and done some very stupid things since being preg again.... DH and I were talking baby names and I saw Kingsley, went to tell DH then had a brain wave, our surname is Kingsmill... Kingsley Kingsmill!!!!! DH had a good laugh at that one!!! :D
-
a fresh one. Was masking off the bench top while painting our kitchen cupboards last night, went back to it today to continue on, and couldnt find the masking tape anywhere! Other half finally found it inside the cutlery drawer!
-
Did it again...
had a 1st birthday party today and told DP i was going shopping afterwards to get some stuff for my hosp bag, some new PJ's for DD and to buy a couple of things for #2.
Had a big list with MILK at the top for DD's bottle.
Got half way home from the shopping centre to realise i had everything else on my list BUT the milk... had to stop at the servo and get some!
-
oh dear i've done it again!
Last wed i had centrelink appointment for a job capability assessment, then left.
Realised after leaving i forgot to get them to give me my health care card, so had to go back.
Realised today i still have my form and medical exemption that i was also supposed to hand in last week! No wonder my account is so empty!
I'm such a goose!

I've done numerous dumb and dangerous things as a result of pregnancy brain, a few include:
*Got out of the shower after shampooing, forgot to condition
*Was sitting at a red light and concentrating on the lights so I could go as soon as it turned. The light turned green and off I went...then realised it was actually the left turn arrow that had changed - so I had just gone though a red light.
* Was cooking hot dogs on the stove. Then went and sat on the couch and noticed an awful smell, thinking that it was Gabe's nappy. When I went back into the kitchen I realised that the awful smell was from the gas being on but not lit. It had been on for about 5 minutes!
-
i cook dinner often and realise 20 mins later that the stove hasnt been turned on, i turn the meat and everything
go to a friends house and leave my shoes at the front door, that is where they stay until next visit. i do this often..
i often turn on the taps to fill mop bucket etc and it overflows as i forget i was filling a bucket. in my defensive our water pressure isnt that great so turn on and walk away...just forget to go back.
oh there is so many things i do with a pg brain.
as my pelvis is out of alignment i hobble to the other end of the house forget want i was doing hobble back to then remember why i was going to the other end of thr house to begin with.............problem is i did this b4 pG........now its worse.
:wall::wall::wall::wall: i hope my brain comes back after bubs is born
-
lol. it's awful isn't it!
got home from work one day and, while chatting away, absentmindedly put my handbag in the freezer... lucky DH saw or i would have never found it!
have cooked dinner and just simply left the stove top on. DH found that twice  he was NOT happy with me
Have done the groceries numerous times only to forget one of the main reasons i needed to go to the shops. so started writing lists... lose the lists. End up having to call DH as i walk around the shops cos i can't retain more than 2 items in my head! DH thinks this is hilarious.
forget words, can't make sentences... when talking to my boss couldn't remember the word SOIL and resorted to "you know, that stuff down there (pointing to the ground)'' lol. Also forgot a colleagues name and tried to 'describe' her... it came out as "the one with the hair'' lol. My boss nearly peeed himself laughing. (she has normal hair so not sure why i thought that'd be a good descriptor)
DH simply now says in a silly voice "does not compute" when he says something and it completely goes over my head - you know ladies.. that blank stare as your mind is off with the fairies but you KNOW you should understand what's been said.

I forgot my hospital appointment. My IM was already there and phoned me, wondering why I wasn't in the waiting room.
And bugger, DH used my car that day and I can't drive his manual. Luckily the hospital is close by. So I dragged my 3.5 yo who was ready to have her afternoon nap, ran across the road to the bus stop, jay-walking because the crossing is on the other end of my street! Got in the bus, fidgety over the 10 minutes ride. Hopped off the bus and again dragged my daughter half-jogged to the clinic. And bugger, it's really a massive hospital!!! So puffed-out by the time we got there, luckily the appointment was running late....
As the result now I have bright-coloured post-it notes on our hall way for every appointment and everything that is due!!! DH even regularly check on those and phone me at work in the morning to remind the appointment I have in avros

mildly norwich
We only have one car at the moment, so if i want to use the car I have to get up and take hubby into work at 6.30.
I did that one morning, came home had breakfast etc. Was sitting on the computer playing spider solitaire at about 9am when I thought I heard a car door. I looked out the window and saw our car sitting in the driveway. I got up, ran all the way to the front door thinking, what's hubby doing home so early, maybe he got laid off, maybe there's no work, maybe he hurt himself??? I'd opened the front door and only realised that I'd driven him in when I couldn't see him in or around the car!!:wall:
