I'm really starting to like it...different but feminine
I like it but without the 'r', Zalia
Apparently DH doesn't like this name.
He told me I can call our bubba this when the moon turns pink with yellow polka dots!! :lol:

I think it's gorgeous but i agree i think i like it better without the R.
If he doesn't like it then what is his suggestion, is he making any proper effort?
I had this issue with DP and he finally agreed, i think i wore him down once i knew he kinda liked it... now i say to A... can you say ZARA... lol she has no idea what i'm on about :ROFL:
Any ideas on middle names to go with it?

I LOVE it (I'd spell it Zahlia though, as per one of the mummies in my belly group)
FWIW, DH HATED the name Matisse and it was an absolute NO............ guess what her name turned out to be? ;)
He likes piper and shelby:
I much prefer Zalia (Spelt any way) to Piper or Shelby.
i like Zarlia too but spelt the other ways
just do what my cousin did...wait until just after having the baby then DH will let you name her what ever you like lol
I like Zaylee and Zarlia, two names I did have picked for a little while, but couldn't get DH on board. Was going to spell it Zahlia though, just a little different.
dont you hate that when a name stands out to you and dh shoots it down!

DH & I picked out our name 8months ago....so no going back now.
I agree Zalia looks better and its such a nice name. Maybe say to Dh that he picks the name if its a boy and you pick the name if its another girl. I will have no luck with girls names dp dont like any of them...
I like it. You could add an 'h' into it- Zahlia so it sounds softer and people wont pronounce it Zay-li-a
Its probably a name that would be shortened to Zahli (rhymes with Carly).

My DD3 was unamed for 3 weeks because neither of us would give an inch. DH didn't like the name I had chosen, but wasn't very helpful with suggestions. Guess who won! :lol:
My other 2 DD's called her Bubba for AGES afterwards. :wall:

I REALLLLLLLLY love Zahlia...I know that the name has been butchered a bit from Zarlia, but I think the 'r' feels too...piratey..? Like 'arrrr'. Lol, But Zahlia, or Zalia, sounds like Tahlia, it's a beautiful name. And Zahlia and Jorja sound nice together too. Good luck :)
I like it alot as I like 'Z' names.. I prefer it spelt Zahlia though. We are still up in the air with names but one we like is Zenaiah.. pronounced Zen-ay-ah. I dont think we'll use it though. Luckily DP and I love all the same names!
I like it. Our DD is Zahli, but you'd be surprised at how many people say Zahlia (I think they know it's different but not quite remember what it is haha). FWIW I also like Piper but it doesn't really go with our last name.
I have a Zahlia and have never had a bad comment about it - if anything i see people's ears lift up a bit when I say it - like that's different but not TOO different.
Her name is Zahlia Alysse - pretty cool name for a pretty gorgeous baby I say - but I'm her mum so a tad biased - lol
BTW - it means Princess and is originally a Polish Name
