Today we were told of an opportunity to manage a caravan park in country Victoria.
A good friend of family friends own a caravan park and are looking for a couple/family to manage the park for them. They initally asked our family friends however they kindly declined, they then suggested it would be perfect for us! So, after alot of discussion we have decided to go for the job :D. So on Monday we will find out if they are going to consider us for the role.

Please wish us luck! This could be the positive break we have been waiting for, I really think we deserve it ;).

We have an interview! Eeek!

Well they made us wait nervously, but I heard from our friends today that they would like to have an interview with us. Apparently our working background is great for the job they just want to meet with us as strong communication skills/people skills is very important to them.

I have left a message on their machine and I am waiting for them to return my call to arrange a day/time.

I am excited and nervous. This is such an amazing opportunity and if we get this position I will truly put in everything to make it a success, I just really hope that they give us a chance to prove ourselves.

(I kind of muddled up what I wanted to say on their answering machine, I hope they do not judge me to much on that :redface:)

Don't worry about your message, it is pretty common to fumble on phone messages I have done it numerous times, even calling back again to leave a phone number as I think I forgot it the last time :lol:

Well we have a date the 26th. Oh what a nervous wait. I think I need to go to some interviews in the meantime just to brush up on my skills, I used to be so good in interviews but instead this time I said things that I shouldn't have said, now I am even more nervous, he took me by suprise with things our family friend had said that I didn't know about. I wish I could start over.

I don't think that they are currently interviewing anyone else, I do not believe it is advertised, we just happen to know as they offered the position to family friends.

I said something about 'not having to return to work and therefore being able to stay home with the girls longer'... I hope they didn't take that the wrong way! I didn't mean I wouldn't be working, rather I would be working from home and therefore the girls wouldn't need to go to childcare.

Oh well, I hope I make a better impression when we meet face to face, over the phone is so difficult.

Well it seems that we need the luck earlier than expected. We received a call at 9am asking if we could meet for the interview tomorrow instead of next weekend. We have been out shopping for new interview clothes :lol: but DH still doesn't have a shirt so we will have to go back tonight, lucky it is late night shopping.

So we should know by Monday if our luck has finally changed :crossfingers:.

They are sending through a job description and details of 'employee vs sub-contractor' to see what we prefer, they also want us to see the park and meet with them next weekend...
