I'm writing this on behalf of Arimeh (who still doesn't have the net connected)
Mel's DD2 (who is 3 months old) is sick with a cold. This is the text from Mel:
Ok she isn't acting herself, she has a runny nose, can't be put down, she screams all the time, she isn't drinking hardly any milk at all, is so lethargic, and just had a poo that was so dark green it was almost black. Plus, her nappies aren't really wet either.
Is this normal behaviour, or should she be taken to hospital?
Is her fontenelle (sp) sunken? I think once they are lethargic it's time for medical help. Sending get well soon vibes xo
As she is lethargic with minimal urine output I suggest getting her checked out as babies can get dehydrated very quickly.

Mel says her fontenelle is fine, wonders if she should take her to the hospital now, or to the drs tomorrow?
Definately a trip to the hospital is in order. I hope bubs gets better quickly!

That's great to hear. Her little one will be seen quickly too being so young.
Funnily enough my little girl has the sniffles too and a barking cough, everything else is ok, thankfully otherwise this could have been my post!

Just heard from Mel.
Mel got home around 2.30am. Eden was admitted, so Craig stayed in with her. The doctors don't really know what's wrong with Eden yet, they're doing some tests.
Mel is heading in to the hospital with the other kids today soon.
Oh my goddness, I hope she is ok. Please pass my thoughts to Mel and the family.

I hope bubba Eden is getting better and they get to the bottom of things.
I hope it's just a precaution and she can come home soon. Poor little Mite. I hope Mel is OK too, it must be hard for her.
Eden was discharged from hospital this morning. The doctors think it was a viral infection, but are waiting on the results of a blood culture tomorrow. Mel is keeping an eye on her at home - on temperature watch.
Mel says it was very scary for a while there.
She also wants to say thank you for all the BB love :).
Oh poor little bubba, i hope little Eden makes a quick recovery.

Thanks Sterla for the updates, glad little Eden is home now. Hope she recovers very quickly. What a scary situation.

So glad she is home again, viruses can be so scary, I think there are some particularly nasty one's around at the moment.
